Jazz need to move to Vegas!!!

The Utah Jazz cannot and will not win a championship as long as they are in Utah. They had their best chance in the Stockton/Malone era when they were lucky enough to draft two hall of famers but they still didnt win.

Jazz have a good young team now but need to add a key free agent with their mid-level exception but cant because a player rather play somewhere else for the same money. Trades are Jazz best option forcing a player to come to Utah...i.e. Korver who was not happy about the trade and I guarantee would love to be playing for the sixers right now instead of the Jazz even though Jazz are a better team.

Jazz best move and Larry Millers best move would be to move the team to Las Vegas as the value of the franchise would explode making Larry Miller alot of money, still keeping the team close enough for Jazz fans to attend the games, and draws free agents of your choice finally getting Larry Miller his championship.

If you were Larry Miller wouldnt you move the team to Las Vegas!

1) the nba doesn't want one in vegas.

This is crazy idea. I think that they should hold training camp or a few of their preseaon games there for more exposure.

Wrong on many levels. LHM will never leave Utah. I'm sure he would make a lot of money with that move, but he doesn't care. Utah is his home and will always be the home of the Jazz.

I thought you were talking about moving the Rocky Mountain Revue to the Vegas Summer League and was about to consider the merits of that. But instead this is a "move the Utah Jazz outside of Utah" topic. I would abandon my fandom of the Jazz if they leave the state. But that is just me. At the same time, I'd say your argument is flawed. If all it took to get the best players was location, wouldn't the Lakers, Suns, and Heat be kicking franchise booty all over the place? There is lots of things that go into winning a NBA championship. If you want to cheer for a team in Vegas, go join the Maloof's petition to move the Kings there. Leave my team here. :wink:

The Lakers have won many championships and just went to the championship. The Heat won a championship. The Suns market is similiar to the Jazz market just slightly larger. The way the league is going...LA, Chicago, Boston, and New York (with their new management) are going to win all the championships....The days of small markets winning it all maybe over (spurs maybe the last one).

Moving not best interest of Utah Jazz fans as moving was not in the best interest of Sonics fans but was and is in the best interest of the owners. If you were the owner of the Jazz, you consider what is best of for the fans but ultimately you do what is best for yourself. The best thing for Larry Miller would be to try and move the Jazz to Las Vegas before the Kings get that market. I know it is not what most of you want to hear but basketball is a business and just like Boozer said about his free agency, he would be making a business decision, and it might be time for Larry Miller to do the same.

Other than the spurs, what was the last small market team to win it? There has only been a handful of teams to win it in the last 25 years.

You have to be completely mental to think that UTAH fans would want to move the team away from the state.

You say that they can still attend games, that would MAYBE be one or two a season. LHM wouldn't even be able to attend that games as much.

And if there's a player stupid enough to not wanna play in Utah, I say just **** him.
I can't believe a person getting paid to play basketball in a traditional and winning franchise, making enough money to basically live anywhere they want, wouldn't come to play just because it's in Utah.
If someone is dumb enough to do that, well, they can go somewhere else.

More money is not guaranteed... and this BS large market championship talk HAS to go. Utah sells out... Vegas wouldn't.

The Spurs should move to Vegas, because no NBA team can win a championship in a small market like San Antonio.

The Suns should move to Vegas, simply because they haven't won an NBA championship, and nobody wants to play in Phoenix...oh wait, Phoenix is a desirable place to live for many NBA players, and they still haven't won a championship.

The Bucks should move to Vegas, because Milwaukee is cold and nobody wants to live there.

The Warriors should move to Vegas, because outside their city nobody likes to watch the Warriors, and no player wants to go there as a free agent.

The Trailblazers should leave Portland and go to Vegas because Portland is just too small and rains too much. Surely a championship can't be won in Portland.

While we're at it, the Knicks should just pack up shop and move there because they haven't won a championship in 35 years.

All of these teams have won championships except Phoenix. NYK haven't won one in 35 years and they are the premiere sports market. Obviously there is something else that drives championship teams and players. Your argument is ridiculous and makes you sound foolish. If a team moves to Vegas, it won't be to win a championship, I promise you that. And if that ever did happen, I promise you no team in Vegas could focus enough to win an NBA championship.

Vegas isn't a big market....although I understand why you think it would be a mecca for free agents....and certainley it is a more marketable city than Salt Lake. I think Vegas is nice for a little road trip, but I wouldn't want to live there. I hate the weather....it's just kind of a drab town outside of the strip.

The Strip smells like a sewer.. .and anything outside the strip in Vegas is god awful. henderson is the only place near by that is decent.
