Help: Team Captains Season 03/04 04/05 05/06 06/07

Hello everyone,

Iam looking for the Jazz Team captains (1st, 2nd and 3rd if possible) for the following seasons. If you have an idea please let me know!

Season: 03/04
Season: 04/05
Season: 05/06
Season: 06/07

It's Matty & AK from 03/04 to 05/06 where the Jazz did not made the playoffs.

Sloan rotated different players as captains during the 06/07 season.

Deron Williams rookie year it was Ostertag. I remember the team wanted to wear all black shoes when they were on the road and Tag put an end to that idea.

Raja Bell was one of the captains in 04-05.

Tag was not a Captian Deron and a few others wanted to change the color but needed a majority vote from the whole team and Tag didn't want to. Tag was never a captian.

They actually rotated with every player one year. I think 03-04.

I'm pretty sure Tag was one of the captains because of his seniority with the team.

what do team captains DO? i mean, other than team meetings and leadership in the locker room, what's their point?

Hikari is correct, Ostertag was not and has never been a team captain. Jerry Sloans rule with dress is that every player agrees. Ostertag did not want black shoes, so there was no team majority.

I believe Kerplunk is the most accurate. I believe Raja was also a captain one of those years prior to the Sloan every player a captain during the Fisher season.

They are the designated spokesperson for the team to the refs.

Also they can be used to represent the team at specific team meetings that the NBA has with the owners of the league, and with the players association I believe.
