OK I admit it. I have nothing to do at work and thought I would play around with Trade Checker.

This is based on the questionable belief that Booz will opt out. Then we should get something while we still can.

What about the following three team trade (Trade ID #4745208):

Utah Trades
Boozer, Collins and Almond

Utah Receives
Dunleavy, Jeff Foster

Indy Trades
Dunleavy, Tinsley and Foster

Indy Receives
Marion, Almond, Collins and Cook

Miami Trades
Marion and Daequan Cook

Miami Receives
Boozer and Tinsley

Why for Utah — get something for Booz before he walks and get a whole lot more flexible in the lineup (depth chart with minutes):

Center — Okur (32), Foster (16), Koufos, Fes
Power forward — AK (30), Sap (18)
Small Forward — Dunleavy (30), Harp (12), CJ Miles (6)
Shooting Guard — Brewer (24), Korver (18), CJ Miles (6)
Point Guard — Williams (38), Price/Knight (10)

Huge upgrade defensively adding a shot blocker/rebounder in Foster and returning AK to his natural spot at the 4. Dunleavy is a good three point shooter (2 a game made) and a terrific passer.

Why for Miami
Get the best player in the trade in Boozer, who supposedly wants to play there. They also fill the hole at point guard. A lineup with Wade, Boozer and Beasley will make noise in the East.

Why for Indiana
I am sure that they do not want to lose Dunleavy but it is the price for getting rid of the toxic Tinsley. Marion will also be playing his ass off in the final year of his current contract.

When Marion leaves after next year it frees up a ton of cap space for the Pacers. A couple of young guards in Almond and Cook also add to the youth movement.

No way...

I would be borderline collins and almond for foster. Which means this would be boozer for dunleavy. There is no way I would do that.

Maybe if you cut Collins out and we recieved Marion instead of Dunleavy.

I really really don't want to see Dunleavy in a Jazz uniform. It is like all those people that wanted to send Wally to Utah.

If we could get Foster for Almond and Collins then sign me up.

As for Marion I just don't think he would fit in. And the Jazz would have to throw in filler to get him.

I think the trade as proposed gets AK back to his natural 4 spot, and improves perimter shooting and interior D.

Just don't want Booz to walk for nothing.

Ideally we resign Booz at the end of the year for reasonable money and none of this is required.

I would much rather have Marion than Dunleavy.

Utah gets the worst of this deal BY FAR. no need for Dunleavy what so ever. Foster would be nice, but not at Boozers expense.

Wheres the huge upgrade? Foster is NOT a shot blocker. And where does dunleavy fit into this picture? Pricey scorer, when scoring is the last of our worries.

Hey, at least this isn't a "three way trade, we'll get Oden and OJ Mayo for Collins and Price." It's a nice change of pace to see trades where we come out terribly once in a while.

Utah gets a LOT thinner up front with this trade.

Literally. AK47 and Dunleavy could share clothes.

Dunleavy can't do half of the things AK can.

He also gets paid about half as much. I still don't like him.

Jazz fans don't really come up with absolutely terrible trades as much as other team fans do.

I like Dunleavy A LOT but he's not half the athelete AK is, athletism wise AK is a top 10 guy in the league.

I doubt that Dunleavy would have the same offensive out put being the 4th or 5th scorer on the Jazz as he has with the Pacers. Ak isn't as bad as people think because he is no longer the center of the jazz offense.

The whole crying thing is overrated.

The crying is done by Dunleavy's teammates because they have to play with him.

Of course he wouldn't. Nobody would. Thing is, I highly doubt he would be the 4th-5th scoring option on the Jazz. He'd likely be 2A/2B with Williams. Dunleavy's 19+ ppg was done on good shooting percentages (48/42/83) so it holds up well against criticism. It was as much efficiency as it was volume shooting like you see from a lot of good scorers on sub-.500 teams.

Are you telling me you think Dunleavy is a better player than AK? You wouldn't trade Dunleavy for AK if they had the same contracts?
