Could NBA Players Make It In The NFL?

sk most fans who the best TE in the NFL is, and most would answer Antonio Gates. Ask those fans where Gates played college football, and few will respond. The truth is, Gates did not play football in college. Gates excelled on the hardwood leading his college team to the Elite Eight. After college, Gates used his athleticism to open doors in football.
So, without further delay, our blogger staff unveils our All-NBA Gridiron Squad.
Antonio Gates is a perfect example of how basketball players are superior athletes in many ways (or just plain freaks). Who would you put on your all NBA football team?

Maybe, it'd be hard for them to transittion. Players like LeBron who played in high school could probably play in the NFL.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I heard.... and CORRECT ME if I am wrong but...

Harpring couldn't make it in the NFL now, earlier in his career maybe. Knees too jacked.

Making the cross is pretty rare whatever the sports. The physique/skills to succeed in one doesn't necessarily map to the other.
The only other ones that come to mind are:
- Charlie Ward (QB - Heisman Trophy, National Championship winner / 11 year NBA career)
and not so recently
- Danny Ainge (Boston Celtics / Toronto Blue Jays)

That kid at Ohio State is tryin to do both?? Terrelle Pryor was the #3 ranked small forward for last year's high school graduating class but is playing football instead... I hope he's a better ball player than Charlie Ward.
