Just wanted to introduce myself to you guys. I've followed the boards for a long time. Been a Jazzfan all of my life, I'm an East Coaster that watches all the games on DirecTV. I never thought I'd ever love a player's game the way I loved John Stockton's game....but Deron Williams has taught me that anything is possible. I love watching Williams play and I feel so lucky to have him on the Jazz. I really do think he will bring a long-deserved title to Salt Lake City.

Ok, enough homer talk. We've got a tough season in front of us. A lot of parity in the Western Conference, in case nobody paid attention last year. I see Utah winning the division again and hopefully winning enough road games to clinch first round and a top #3 seed. Probably the 3rd seed IMO. Would like to avoid the Lakers (which I said even BEFORE they had Gasol last year) and Rockets (mad respect for Adelman, he'll have that team ready to win a playoff series). Would like to face Phoenix or Dallas in round 1.

Well, those are my thoughts. Glad to be amongst you.

i agree with you on avoiding the Lakers....but ill always be glad to face the rockets in the playoffs sending them home early is one of my favorite things to watch on the television.

It's the offseason, so the board is slow overall, and things are a bit stiff obviously, but we always dig our newbies.

I must say there is a renewal fee each year of posting 25 homer posts in the playoff opponent's forums while the matchup is going to go. Good luck not getting banned. Please always remember, Jarron Collins shouldn't start, and Jason Hart was the best thing that never happened to the Utah Jazz.

Now that my welcome speech is over, I want to say that I am expecting the Jazz to get to 2nd on the Western Conference, and a significant drop for the Hornets, Mavs, and Suns. Spurs and Lakers are gonna be our enemies like usual, and a healthy Houston Rockets will be tough to beat. Glad we have the anti-Artest in Kirilenko, and the mating-mate in Hapring.

It is gonna be a fun season, looking forward to watch all the games again. Although I shouldn't.

Welcome aboard, man! West is gonna be crazy once again. I think basically anything can happen in the playoffs this year, so I don't care if we face the Lakers, the Rockets or the Spurs. I say bring them on.
If we're gonna win a championship, we gotta be able to beat any team in a 7 game series. It would be nice to have a top 2 seed to have homecourt at least in the first two rounds. We all know how HCA is huge for this team.

Welcome to the board! I have not posted in a long time, but I thought that this would be an appropriate place to pick it back up. I am also excited about this season. I think that it is the Jazz's best chance at a ring since the Stockton't'Malone days. Deron Williams is going to be a beast, and Boozer will be playing like it is a contract year. (Since it probably is.)

Keep posting, if you like. Make sure that you thicken up your skin a little bit, but please don't come with a sharpened pitch fork. We have enough people that would rather pick a fight than have a civilized debate. So far, you seem like a cool cat to me though.
