Best Utah Jazz regular season games in history
#1 11/27/96, The Jazz are trailing the Denver Nuggets by almost 50 points at half-time, come back to win the game in the second half completing the biggest comeback in NBA history.
#2 11/15/89, The Jazz are trailing Michael Jordan and the Bulls by 7 points with 40 seconds left in the game. John Stockton leads the comeback, stealing the ball twice from MJ, and ending the game with the game-winning shot.
#3 02/03/92 The Jazz and the Bull play a gut-wrenching triple overtime game at the Salt Palace with the Jazz prevailing. Michael Jordan gets thrown out at the end of the game.
#4 03/29/89 The Jazz and the Bad Boys Pistons play an intense, physical game which goes into double overtime, one of the most physical games ever witnessed, especially for a regular season game. The Pistons prevail.
Anybody wants to add to the list?

That's a pretty good head start you've got there...
I would add to that list the night Stockton broke the assists record (not that the game was suspenseful) but that game was a definite had-to-be there game.
The opening game of the 2005-06 season, where the Jazz took down Dallas on opening day behind a clutch no-chance 3 from Memo and a 60 ft 3 pointer at the end of the third from Deron.
Feb 14 2007 - The Jazz edge the Cavaliers by one point aided by a pretty obvious no-call on Giricek with one second left.
The game last March where the Jazz resoundingly beat Boston in Boston was a pretty good one, too.
Any of the Pistons wins over the last few years have been good, especially the November 2006 game where Memo blocks a shot with one second left to seal the victory.
Those are a bunch of recent games that were fun to watch or attend...

Those are all pretty standard games though, you have games like that every year or two.
If I remember correctly it was in 80's and it was against the Bullets and the Jazz trailed by something like 15 with under two minutes to go and won it on a buzzer beater, some ridiculous plays to end it.

McCloud to Memo......Money............Yes!The jazz beat the bulls after the steal from Ak!Two years ago I think! How about that game against GS where Matty boy hit that three to send it to over time!We scored like seven points in 10 seconds then won in overtime!

A game in Houston when John and Karl were still playing Matty hit a buzzer beating three close to the out of bounds line to win the game. Matt used to be really good.
Also Carlos Arroyo buzzer beater vs. the Nuggets in a tight playoff race was great, and was also Bobbye Sloan's last Jazz game she ever attended, hell of a last game to see.

As I remember it he hit that shot over Yao Ming. I remember e-mailing matty getting on him for playing crappy in a prevoius game and than after he hit that shot he sent my a e-mail saying something like well how about that shot i hit last night and included a autographed picture

In that Houston game that shot sent it to overtime right?
Memos first buzzer beater vs the spurs was the most exciting finish to a regular season game that I came remember.

Either of the two San Antonio games where Memo hit the game winning shot in the last second.

The night malone scored 61 against the bucks. Certainly not a close game, but one of the most dominating performances by anyone in a jazz uniform.

The Arroyo buzzer beater against the Nuggets was amazing. I remember that game well because it was the only Jazz game on ESPN that season, here in Brazil. If you guys complain about not getting enough nationally televised games, here we only get half of those or even less.
And the Houston game, Matty sent it to overtime. You're right, LJ.
This season's Jazz vs. Lakers without Boozer and Memo was a pretty good one too.

Jazz vs Heat in like 93. It was a double or triple OTer and the Jazz just squeeked out a win because Krystkowiak hit some free throws.
Jazz Bulls in 98. Jazz trailed by like 30 but came back to win. Its the second biggest comeback in NBA history behind the 35 point comeback vs Denver. But obviously, it was done against much better talent.
Jazz Spurs in like 90 or 91. Stockton dominated and had 28 assists.
Jazz Bucks when Malone dropped 61 on them.
The Jazz Blazers game from 03, the first game after Stockton and Malone left. It really wasn't that great but the emotion in the Delta Center was amazing.

Re: Best Utah Jazz regular season games in history
Hey everyone.
Matt Harpring hit a three pointer that sent the game to the overtime, when The Jazz eventually won.

I remember a game against The Nets, like 6 years ago in New Jersey, we were behind 1 point and Stockton tried to make a basket, but it was short. AK did put it in at the buzzer. That was pretty amazing.
Yes schneiderjazz, that game when Arroyo hit the jumper at the buzzer was crazy. I was watching on tv as well. And I was so angry 'cause the broadcasters were all about The Nuggets, because Nene was there. Amazing game. I think I have it taped.
The most exciting game I have ever followed I have to say it was that one when Memo grabbed the rebound and hit it at the buzzer against The Spurs. We were in a losing streak, 9 games in that season, and losing 18 in a row to the Spurs. The players celebrated like they had won the championship. I got so happy at that moment that I jumped so high in my bedroom that I hit the roof with my hands (no kidding).

Amazing, simply amazing.

Two seasons ago there was a streak of about 2 weeks where Okur was hitting game winners pretty consistently. I'll never forget a game against Phoenix in their shack where we went up by 20 early, then they came back and went up by about 20. Then in the fourth, Williams and Okur brought us back, and Okur hit a jumper at the top of the key with just a few ticks left to seal the win.

A couple from last season:
OT in Denver in January. Deron was dominant in that game. Hit a huge 3 to tie the game for OT.
In PHX, March maybe? They have Shaq, and again Deron just dominates down the stretch.
Those were awesome. They cannot compare to the 3 OT game against the Bulls in 92 (best regular season Jazz game ever), but still good ones.

Re: Best Utah Jazz regular season games in history
Memorable Jazz games for me personally:
Cavs @ Jazz in 07-08: something like the 3rd game of the season, Jazz are up most of the game then LeBron does what he does best and ties the game with a 3 with 6 seconds to go. No timeout, Jazz inbound to Deron Williams who drives the length of the floor and lays it in for the win.....Energy Solutions roof was about to come off when that happened. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DcRGWGq01k
Pistons @ Jazz in 07-08: Rip and the Pistons jump all over the Jazz in the first half. At halftime me and my buddy were in our seats like "we can't just fold and lose this game". Second half we chip at the lead and Memo hits 3 clutch trey's in the final minutes to seal the deal. It was also # 10 on the top regular season games from last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4lXWKk4tpg
Sonics @ Jazz in 06-07: Back and forth towards the end of the game in the final seconds Ray Allen splits the D and goes in for a layup to give Seattle the lead. Without calling timeout Williams takes it up the court and hits Memo for the game winning 3 in the corner. Clutch baby!
Lakers @ Jazz in 98-99: Double overtime victory for the Jazz. I remember being there with Jr Jazz, what a game it was, probably my favorite from childhood.
Mavericks @ Jazz in 05-06: Opening night Deron Williams (R) scores 18 and hits the game winner, just awesome. Sloan then sat D-Will for most of the rest of the year.
Does anyone remember the game @ Orlando probably close to 10 years ago where Malone made the put back basket to win the game but the official waved it off. No instant replay, but he definitely got the shot off.
Jazz @ Warriors in 97-98: I just saw this game on NBA TV, Warriors were up most of the game but behind Malone's 56 points, the last two being the game winner with 2 seconds left.
Other notables:
- Memo's game winning tip in against the Spurs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fP07kQ507VA
- Last season's game in Phoenix; Deron's shot over Shaq falling out of bounds and Boozer's bank shot at the end of the game.
- Giving Boston their worst defeat of the season last year: AK's half court heave
- Boozer's career high 41 against the Wizards, best part was when he posterized Arenas all Jordan-esqe flying in with the left hand. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmvVg6kBL9Q
- Stockton's buzzer beaters against Miami and Chicago

Tell me about it. I was swearing at the TV almost the whole game. I went absolutely crazy when Arroyo hit that shot.

Awesome. The Delta Centar went absolutely crazy. And what about that Kobe shot right after Arroyo's? That was ridiculous. And if I remember correctly that one was in OT and he had a buzzer tying 3 at the end of regulation on that same game.

I remember the game that the Jazz were behind majority of the time against the Kings in Arco Arena..(I think this was like 2 years ago..The same game when Price dunked over Boozer) and somehow the Jazz were able to come back and win the game...I was so pissed about that game...
Obviously, it wasn't the "best game in Jazz history" but it was a fun game for you guys...
