The Clutchest Jazz Player?

I was watching a John Stockton DVD and I admit I had forgotten how clutch he was. He had a lot of buzzer beater threes and he wasn't just clutch on offense he had a lot of steals late in games. Deron and Okur have both shown how clutch they can be, Mehmet's Detroit block, Deron's three against Dallas, etc. But who do you think is the most clutch of the three?

Jeff Hornacek also had lots of clutch moments. Stockton had clutch moments in big games, so he has the lead, but I wouldn't be surprised if Williams passes him cause the offense runs through him more (scoring wise).

I vote Stockton. Deron and Okur still have some time that they have to get under their belts before they can enter into the discussion. If Memo had another season like '06-'07 when he was hitting game winners on an almost weekly basis, then he might pass Stockton. He would have to hit a few of them in the playoffs though.

Stockton is on the all time NBA list of great clutch players, he was amazing.

Then if were talking now, I like Okur over Williams. Okur has hit so many big three's to keep the Jazz alive it's insane. Deron really needs to improve his turn overs and his free throw shooting at the end of games to surpass Okur.

STOCKTON A 1000 TIMES OVER. He not only was clutch throughout his long storied career but also at the biggest moments and the biggest stages.

The Memo/Deron debate is an interesting one. Memo is a fearless shooter in the clutch, but kind of requires someone to set him up for the shot. I would maybe give the edge to Deron because of how calm and under control he is with the ball in his hands in clutch situations. He makes sure the ball goes where it is supposed to go. It is Stocktonesque. Maybe his most Stockton like quality.

All time, it's Stockton easily. On the current Jazz team, I'd say it's probably Deron. If we're just talking about who's the best at hitting big shots, it's probably Memo. However, like Racer X said, he's not a guy who you can just give the ball to and say "find a way to get us a bucket." Most of his big shots come from him spotting up and somebody else (usually Deron) setting him up. Deron on the other hand, can create plays for himself and others in the clutch, whether it's in the set offense or improvisation. I agree with Batronuj that he needs to improve in certain areas in the clutch, but I think he's already shown signs of doing so and that he will make strides this year. I just love the combination of composure and swagger that he has late in games.

I think I'd have the ball in Stockton's hands for the last two minutes of a game, Okur taking the last shot if we need a three, and have the ball in Deron's hand for the last play if we need a two.

Who's going to guard Karl Malone, Barkley. They've got Hakeem on Antoine Carr.

Russell will inbound at half court.
