This is on wiretap today: Deron expects exodus in Utah next summer?

Wiretap wrote:Jazz point guard Deron Williams hinted during a recent interview that he expects a mass exodus to occur in Utah next summer, according to Deseret News.

"A lot of guys got a little bit of pressure on them this year to perform because it's their contract year. I always think that's a plus," Williams said. "I think that's another reason why this season's so important. While we have everybody here, we've got to make a run at it and see what we can do."

Carlos Boozer, Jarron Collins, Brevin Knight, Kyle Korver, Mehmet Okur, and Ronnie Price will all be unrestricted free agents next summer.

How does that little quote mean he expects an exodus next year? :dontknow: I mean sure, he states that there's a chance not everybody will be in Utah next year, but come on. Saying he expects everybody to leave is the exact opposite of that.

You guys probably have a much better clue of what's going on in Utah. How do you guys feel about this headline?

It's stupid RealGM... those wiretaps lack the journalistic dignity and intellect that rivals The Sun newspaper in britain, or National Enquirer here at home...

Carlos Boozer will not be UFA's next summer for example. They have an option in their contract to not continue with their contract, which is different.

It's exactly what you said actually. Deron knows that the Jazz won't be able to keep everyone after this year and that there are a lot of guys playing for new contracts, so he expects great things for this season.
