Yeah, the new season is almost here. These last 5 months without Jazz basketball have been brutal.
Anyways, for anyone enterested, you can follow the progress of our second round draft pick here:
http://www.eurobasket.com/team.asp?Cntry=CRO&Team=82So far he's doing very well, in a pretty tough league, against good competition.

16/10/1.5/2 in 35 mins is pretty good. Hope the Jazz can bring this guy over eventually.

Personally I think he replaces Fess. That is unless Fess blows up this yr.

For his stats, also check
here. Right now he's leading the league by a good margin in "efficiency" and rebounding, and he's also top 5 in scoring and blocks. That looks pretty promising.
Meanwhile our other draft pick Dragicevic (who incidentally was the league's MVP last season) has yet to play a game, I guess he's injured.

FWIW, Blazers' GM Kevin Pritchard had his eye on this guy for a long time...and as we know Pritchard seems to be a pretty good prospect evaluator. Whether it's for us or in trade, hopefully we get some good value out of Tomic!

Those are impressive numbers! It's very hard to get BIG numbers in Europe where it's far more team oriented, and not superstar central.

The Blazer's GM is an animal. He got a damn steal in Fernandez, who's averaging 18ppg in his first two off the bench. Need I say more from the rest of the team? They got a bright future. If he thinks Tomic is very good, then I believe so too.

I heard the Adriatic League was a joke compared to the NBA, the NBDL is better than the Adriatic league. But it's good to see he's producing somewhere.....

I don't expect much. If he ever plays for us it'll be gravy.

His profile pic is pretty awesome. He looks like he would be pretty good at a staring match.

The beauty of all of it is he is a great trade chip. He and Almond could get us a late first or good role player.

I think he's worth holding onto and getting into camp before we trade him anywhere. He's very long and athletic albeit lean.
From most reports he seems to be a shot blocker, a good low post scorer and a smart passer. If we lose Memo this off season I'd love to have another big guy tot bring in down the line.

but you forget he has an AK body. I think he has a great skill set, but is tooth pick thin.

Cibona Zagreb for example is
3-3 in the Adriatic League, but
3-0 in the Euroleague, beating Maccabi and Olympiacos! No way the D-League is better than the Adriatic League!
----
KK Zagreb is also playing FIBA EuroChallange:
after 3 games:
17.3 PPG
13.3 RPG
3.0 APG
