Could this be Utah's Depth Chart for the rest of the season?

PG: Deron Williams, Brevin Knight, Ronnie Price
SG: Ronnie Brewer/C.J. Miles, Kyle Korver/Ronnie Price, Morris Almond
SF: C.J. Miles/Ronnie Brewer, Andrei Kirilenko/Kyle Korver, Matt Harpring
PF: Carlos Boozer, Paul Millsap/Andrei Kirilenko
C: Mehmet Okur, Paul Millsap, Kosta Koufos/Kyrylo Fesenko

Every slash indicates that both players could see time at these positions, with the primary player first. Basically, our starters will be Williams, Brewer, Miles, Boozer, and Okur. The reserves will be Knight, Price, Korver, Kirilenko, and Millsap. Jerry Sloan seems to like using multiple combinations of players based upon what is working, so certain players roles and positions aren't really that clearly defined.

I don't expect Miles to continue getting minutes once Harpring is healthy.

Same here, plus you forgot Jargon from the list, he's surely the back-up C when healthy

I'm not so sure. Seems like Jerry hasn't been all that big on Mr. Consistent(ly horrible) towards the end of last year/the preseason. I could easily be wrong though

I really hope Harpring is fazed out of the rotation, but I know thats not going to happen. He will probably replace CJ.

What does it say about CJ when so many posters are worried that Harp will take his Minutes?

If he was as good as some here make him out to be it wouldn't even be an issue.

Miles hasn't been bad, I think he's been alright, but at other times has played no effect on the game, which to me is alright when you have Okur, Boozer, Brewer, and soon Williams on the floor. All he needs to do is not screw up in his role, and anything he does is gravy. He basically serves a slot on the floor while Kirilenko is not in, and while he's not screwing up. Up to now I can't say he's been a defensive liability, or that he's taking too many bad shots.

It all depends on where Harp is at. He was regressing at the end of last year, and had some really rough games. Add another year and several more surgeries and you never know how he will perform. Its too bad, because I think we need what he can provide, but I also want to see CJ keep getting regular burn....but that would cut into AK and his excellent play, or Kyle and his sharp shooting, both of which we are in dire need of. So I expect to see CJ keep his spot, with Harp getting limited burn.

I agree. I really don't think that C.J. should lose his spot just because Harpring is returning. I really think that C.J.'s game will start to come around once Deron comes back. Miles will start getting a lot of the easy points that Ronnie Brewer got last season because teams will have to focus on Utah's four main offensive threats (Williams, Brewer, Boozer, and Okur) in the starting lineup. When Deron comes back, this team will basically be unstoppable.

I'd rather see C.J. continue to get minutes once Harpring comes back for a few reasons. He hasn't really been very good so far, although he hit some threes and put up some solid numbers for how many minutes he played last game, but he hasn't been horrible either and he hasn't hurt the team. I think he'll continue to grow accustomed to his role and improve as the season progresses and with how much money we're paying him now, how athletic he is and how much potential he has, we should continue to give him minutes as long as he isn't hurting the team, especially since Harpring will likely continue to regress.
The other thing is that I wouldn't mess with AK's role coming off the bench, especially once Deron gets back. He's been too good. Starting Korver would be an option if C.J. isn't cutting it, but, even then, it would just make more sense to give C.J. the remaining minutes on the wings. From a positional, athletic and skill standpoint, he just fits a lot better with the players we have than Harpring and his upside, even for this year, is higher.
