Memo: We need you

Post#1 » by Reckless » Wed Nov 19, 2008 12:01 pm

We would have won at least 1 more game on the road trip if we had Memo in the 4th quarter..

i think his value to this team really showed in us having that road trip from hell

anyone else miss the money man?

People here don't appreciate Okur. They are more Boozer type of fans rather than Okur type of fans.

Even then, in regards to size, and having to have Collins out playing, I think makes everyone miss Okur. Specially his interviews.

I miss Memo as well. I don't think he's going to be right when he starts back, though. His father will be on his mind.

I'm a big fan of the money man, we could have definitely used him on that road trip. Especially in the Wizards game, we might not have been able to stop them but we could have at least traded buckets. One thing that Memo brings that we are really missing is the ability to create his own shot, one of the big advantages he has over Boozer. Okur is a professional but I think his game will be affected by his father's health, I'm not sure if it will have a negative or a positive impact though. I could see him zone out and turn into a high percentage shooting machine or be distracted and miss some gimme buckets.

I remember Memo having some bad games, understandably, around the time his kid was born.

Memo will be back tonight against the Bucks. Aside from his family issues, his back might still be a little sore. Seems like it's been a recurring issue.

We missed him badly against the Wiz. Their length and size killed us, and Memo would have gone a long way to solve that. Kosta has the physical dimensions to do it, but he doesn't yet "play big" like he needs to in order to make a difference with his size. Okur is badly missed, and will help a lot when he gets back out there.

But lets not b***sh** here, our defense has been better than expected so far. Our offense has been stagnant and disappointing for long stretches in most every game. Its not hard to figure out why. This sprained ankle is ruining my life.

Eh? He was a non-factor, but his back is bothering him, can't blame him for trying. Millsap stepped in, in his place had 5 blocks, 7 rebounds, and 8 points in just 22minutes! Boozer was also really good. Hope it's nothing serious. Good thing we're not on a back to back, hope he'll be ready for Duncan, we'll need him so he can try to cancel out Duncan, though we'll really need Millsap to play some man on him, and much help defense from AK.

When did that happen? He didnt try all game. Bad back I can buy for his 0fer performance from the field, but lack of effort is no excuse. Until he got 3 cheap boards at the end of the 4th he was being out rebounded by Brewer and Almond for the whole first half. Memo played soft tonight and no injury causes that. Im gonna start calling him the Charmin man.

How do you know how much he was hurting? I'm saying atleast he made the effort of going out there and playing. Maybe he did play soft, but perhaps he was playing scared of aggravating the back. I honestly can't blame the guy, he could of sat out, but chose to give it a shot. He's been pretty good for when healthy, so I can't blame him on this tough stretch he's had. BTW, 1 rebound, and nothing else for Koufos in 10 minutes isn't exactly a whole lot better when he's damn healthy.

Again he needs to not play or Sloan needs to yank him. I cant stand people that "play through the pain" when they're clearly hurting there team and Memo in no way helped us out there. Its just like Deron at Washington, shouldnt have played. It set him back, and Im sure this game sets Memos confidence or health back.

Blame Jerry on this one if anybody. Maybe Jerry just wanted to give him a shot, and see in what shape he's in. People do fail. At least we won, so if anything, Memo got some run, and tested his body. I think atleast that much is good. :D

just stfu! His father is probably more important than a couple of meaningless regular season wins. Give him some time! This is ridiculous, talk about being cold blooded.

Having Memo back will be nice, but at least one good thing game from his absence. We got to see the Kou and his great shot blocking ability! Who would have thought the pasty, lanky kid could swat the ball so well? I hope Memo is ready for tonight, we certainly need him.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they

We understand him missing games because of his dad. Boozer has done it, Fisher did it, and Jason Fart too.

I think what he is going for is that fact that Okur is now dressed up, available to play, but not playing because of back issues.

I haven't heard if his dad passed away.

IIn my opinion Memo should be less important, cause at the end of this season he ll be FA.

Develope Koufos with Boozer is the best option.

Memo has an early termination clause on his that he is unlikely to use.
