Oh man, that could get ugly. Many casual USA fans mixed with crazy Mexican fans.

American fans can get crazy.. Mexican fans though have a lot to teach the American side. Bomb and Snowball fest for this game. This might just be the biggest soccer game in Utah history the last Bulls finals, or the Real Madrid game.

Ive been following this rumor for a lil bit now and now hopefully it's a full on done deal. USA VS. Mexico is HUGE. It's like Utah VS. BYU in US soccer terms.

I'll get my tickets on the first day tickets go out and I don't care where I sit cause there is no such thing as a bad seat at Rio Tinto. I'll be there with my Onyewu jersey, my snuck-in beer and 600 blankets around me!

Sam's Army is a pretty crazy group and will make things fun.

lol.. it's like Utah vs. BYU terms? Is this supposed to be some dumbed-down description? This is the skiws of Mexico/USA or Brazil/Argentina or Italy/France. This is huge, and expect the outcome of it to make news around the world in every sports and regional newscast in every nation in the world (that is not the USA, of course).

Big game tomorrow by the way.. Real Madrid vs. Barcelona. Sorry FJS, but I hope your team and your city eats dirt after the result tomorrow. Vamos Ramos!

Dude, the first minute the sale comes out, and DON'T EXPECT IT TO BE CHEAP (small stadium, same profit expected), I will buy two tickets, and get a girl on a good chilly date. I did the same with my Frank Caliendo tickets in Wendover ;) I am coming to visit ya KoE.

Meh. Maybe it wasn't the greatest of examples using the Utah/BYU example but it was meant to show local Utah people that don't really follow soccer how important it is to us as the Utah/BYU game is to them.

As for the price I'm not to worried cause I'm expecting it to be a bit pricey. I just know that this game is gonna be a once in a lifetime type deal in Utah cause usually these games are in DC, Cali, or large soccer population sites. This is a RARE and amazing opportunity for Utah soccer fans.

Non Utah soccer fans should check it out for a heated fight.

Any sports fans for that matter. It is like a sports fan saying no to an OSU vs. U of M, or U of U vs. BYU game for that matter. This is bigger though, much bigger.

I will be there!

I haven't been to a real intense soccer game since my boys from River Plate took care of Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo like 10 years ago now...

Putting the olympics aside, this will probably the biggest sporting event to ever happen in Utah. I expected the US to play a game here in the Utah but i would have never thought it to be Mexico. The USA vs Mexico matches have been very intense the last couple years and now with Mexico slumping a little bit, theyre gonna want to come out and do anything to come out with 3 points on the opening day of the hexagonal round.

i will pay whatever to see this game. It's gonna be insane

haha not quite, the last two times theyve played this game (2001 and 2005) they played in to Columbus, Ohio. Ive heard they play it there to keep this game away from the west coast to give the USA a more Home field advantage. Utah has more Hispanic's, though, but the cold, cold weather will definitely make up for that.

This is the second word cup qualifier to be here.

It is huge and you will be amazed at how crazy Sam's Army is. They are no casual fan.

it is not much different in columbus. most people that care about soccer around here are hispanics and persians.
