Trade Boozer to Heat now!!!

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Tue Dec 16, 2008 3:40 am

With Millsap proven to be a quality starter and Boozer wimping out again as well as the fact he is likely leaving town at the end of the year, trade Boozer to Heat today.

To Jazz: Shawn Marion (likely leaves at end of year) & Michael Beasly

To Heat: Boozer (likely signs a new contract immediately), Korver & Almond

Jazz lineup:
PG Williams Price Knight
SG Miles Brewer (to bench)
C Memo Koufas Collins Fess
PF Millsap Beasily
SF Marion AK-47 Harpring

Jazz remain about the same level team likely improve defensively lose some offensively. Key is getting something for Boozer in Beasily. Team not good enough to win it anyway.

Heat assures them getting Boozer plus quality player in Korver and young talent in Almond.

As for Jazz, hopefully Beasily develops with Williams and NYK pick Jazz have 3 young #1 quality players develop together and make a run at it in 3 years. Jazz have to face it. They are a 50-55 win team that is good offensively but below average defensively good enough for 1-2 series wins in the playoffs but far below the Lakers and Celtics.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Heat fans will say no to this. They think Beasley will be a better player than Boozer and they'll probably say they can sign him without giving up anything.

No good reason on earth for Miami to give up Beasley for Boozer when they think that they can have both of them in their lineup next year. And they may easily be right...

HolyToledo type of trade. Only HolyToledo can render Miami giving up a young #2 and a perennial All-Star for an All-Star an overpaid roleplayer, and a sophomore scrub.

I would do this in the blink of an eye. Will it happen though? Nope, never.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

You got it Toledo, just go over to the Miami board and tell them why they should trade someone with a much higher ceiling then Boozer, for Boozer, and another one of their top 4 players.

I dont think Heat gives up Beasley, but Marion for Boozer as principal parts of deal can work.

The problems with Beasley have already been pointed out, and I think that the Heat wouldn't part with Marion for Booze either since they can just sign Carlos in the off season. If we trade Boozer I think that he will most likely go somewhere like Charollete.
