Per the tap.

Pretty interesting, wouldn't be surprised if more of these rumors start to pop up with a Boozer trade.

I'm sure this has been said before, but this is my take. Don't trade Boozer and just use the money that is saved by not re-signing Boozer to sign PMill and other players. Listening to local radio they said Boozer played in 70% of his games with the Jazz, whereas PMill has played 100%. Boozer doesn't sound like good trade bait to me.

I really don't think that Milsap is going to cost more that $7 to $10 mil per year.

I would be interested to hear some of the offers given to the jazz.

I mentioned this last week when LHM did that interview in the Boozer opt-out thread.

The wiretap has it a little off. LHM said that this happened before the Derek Fisher situation popped up like 2 1/2 years ago I think he said.

I'd only traded Booz if we could get a player like Butler, Okafor, etc.

Given his play and what he has been bringing night in and night out, someone will overpay for Millsap this offseason. The Jazz can match any offer for him, but if someone does to us what we did to Cleveland with Boozer, we'll lose him. All they need to do is front-load a contract with a heft signing bonus and the Jazz would have to let him walk. Sucks I know, but that's free agency for you.

I know exactly how it works. If you look at the FA crop and what others have received recently I don't think that it will be much more than that.

SInce the Jazz can match any contract for MIllsap, how can they lose him if another team frontloads a deal? The answer is they can't....... Boozer has played 3 seasons for the Jazz, which means we own his Bird rights....... Which means we can go above the salary cap to sign him, so unless we decide not to match an offer, Millsap isn't going anywhere.......

The Boozer situation was different since he only played 2 seasons for Cleveland, so the Cavs couldn''t go above the salary cap to resign him........

If only Sloan would use Kosta more often, a lineup of Okur/Millsap or Kosta/Millsap/AK works just fine, it's when Sloan goes with AK/Millsap as our only frontcourt players that we get absolutely raped on the boards and usually we lose.......

i heard that on the radio too, and lhm said all this was BEFORE the fisher situation, so NOT last year. they didnt do it because they couldnt get fair value for him. of course he only half a season to show so of course jazz couldnt get fair value.

the story wasnt very clear, but thats what i heard lhm say on the radio.

"Boozer privately requested to be dealt somewhere closer to where the child was being treated in Miami"... which is Miami I guess.

Seriously???

My God, does anyone doubt that Booze is the Devil himself?

After all, only Satan would request a chance to live with his own child.

Boozer = He who walks below.
