8:30 @ the Death Star of Phonies it appears on FSNUT 52 for Comcast peeps, 684 for DirectTV.

Jazz missing 2 top scorers, Lakers missing Jordan Farmar who may or may not have sh** his pants against the Jazz in last years playoffs.

Jazz have long and hard to think about this one . . . typically the Jazz come out really flat coming off extended layoffs. The Jazz also do not posses the ability to win a game in LA judging by last years events.

We play inconsistent on the road. Hence, Jazz lose this one....LA is good team.

Our bigs will continue to play hard and we lose by about 5-7 poins. One of those games where we have a chance and LA finishes us in the end.

PS I hate Fisher.

I just want to see us look like we give a damn. I'll be happy, no matter the result, if that happens.

We will be competitive, I strongly believe that. There is almost no way in hell that we win, of course, but I think we keep it close and interesting throughout, though they might break us in the last few minutes and make the game look like a blowout. Still, I suspect this game will go somewhat like the game in the Boston Garden, with us threatening, but never doing anything to suggest that we could legitimately take it. It will be interesting to see if Deron can sustain the regular game-to-game improvement that he's shown lately. Another step forward for him could be huge for our confidence.

It's late enough most of the game won't overlap the Sugar bowl.

It should be said that we play the Lakers better without Boozer historically.

With the Gasol-Bynum front court do we go big and do Okur-Fes or Okur-Koufos? Okur can slow down Gasol better than he could slow down Bynum and Fes and Koufos are quick enough to stay with Bynum.

If we attempt to play the Lakers with a Kirilenko Okur frontcourt then we're set to witness what might be the worst defeat in Jazz history. Okur should be playing alongside Koufos to start the game. And Koufos ans Fesenko should play together too (what other big guy do we have anyway...)

Here's a New Year's wish. Let's see Millsap on the floor tonight. 7-10 days, it could happen today if we're lucky.

AK would play good defense on Gasol but doesn't rebound well enough to get a defensive stop and good defense doesn't mean **** if you give up three offensive rebounds on one possession.
