so we got memo, boozer, ak and deron on the list. obviously millsap should be a consideration for the game as well. deron should defend his skill challenge also. will kosta be on the rookie team? about a month to go before the big nights (feb 13-15).

Millsap or no one. Even if CP3 beats out T-Mac in voting...Deron is behind Billups, Parker and Nash...not IMO, but thats how the coaches will vote.

I think the only rep the Jazz will have at the game is Deron in the skills challenge.
Koufos has a chance in the rookie game but I doubt it, he won't make it in over Beasley, Gasol, Love, Lopez or Thompson, and probably wouldn't go in over Ryan Anderson.
Deron could make if the coaches give him the nod, but it's hard to put him in over Billups or Parker with how they have been playing.
Millsap could make it in as a back up but those are small odds even though that would be really awesome.

Kosta, I think will get to play in the rookie game, but my guess is that is the only sniff of the all-star game the Jazz get this year, because I don't think Deron will defend the skills challenge unless he's an all-star. The game is in Phoenix, so you can count on them getting at least on guy on the roster that doesn't deserve to be there. My bet is Nash gets the nod over Deron.
If I had to guess, this will be the West's squad:
G: Paul, Bryant, Billups, Roy, Nash, McGrady
F: Amare, Duncan, Dirk, Carmelo
C: Yao, Shaq,

Ya right Shaqs not making it. Gasol looks like the other Center at the moment.

Nash and McGrady aren't deserving. At all.

Deron making it this year would be a make up call and based on reputation. He has just been too hurt to be 100%. Millsap making it will cost the Jazz millions.

Dark horse...Memo. He is putitng up the same or better stats than the all star year and with a thin Center position why not. That is unless Laker bias gets Gasol in.

I hope that Jazz management sends out a league-wide email threatening to sue any coach voting for Millsap in an attempt to hurt the Jazz financially

We don't need the distraction this year. It is fine with me if nobody makes it.

i know he's the champ but I would say Deron wouldn't make the trip to compete..he could use the rest

Hahaha, no offense, but Deron Williams isn't Karl Malone or John Stockton. Even if he doesn't compete in anything you think he is going to miss the biggest party in the NBA during the season?
He'll be down there regardless partying, and in that case he might as well defend his crown.

None are deserving this year. Even millsap is a back up. This should light a fire under their rear end.

if utah retakes the northwest by the time the coaches vote, millsap will get in as long as he keeps producing.

The Jazz send nobody to the ASG this year, and deservedly so. Nobody has earned it with the exception of maybe Millsap, but he hasn't done it the whole season and they aren't going to give him a spot used for someone like Amare, Gasol, Duncan, Nowitzki, etc. Deron does not deserve the ASG this year, though I would like to see him defend his Skills title. Kosta possibly plays in the Rookie/Soph game, but that's it.
