Barring a trade...

what should the Jazz's depth chart look like when Carlos Boozer and Paul Millsap come back from injury? Even though many people like to criticize and hate on Boozer, I simply look at numbers. The man was having a career season before he got injured. I also believe that Millsap has EARNED the right to be a starter. He is an absolute beast. I say start both of them and bench Okur. This would be my lineup:
PG: Deron Williams, Brevin Knight, Ronnie Price
SG: C.J. Miles, Kyle Korver, Morris Almond
SF: Ronnie Brewer, Andrei Kirilenko, Matt Harpring
PF: Paul Millsap, Mehmet Okur, Andrei Kirilenko
C: Carlos Boozer, Kosta Koufos, Mehmet Okur

Yes, let's bench our only big that's not undersized.....great idea since we're playing in the West.

Millsap will go to being the 6th man again. That's just the way it is. He will play big minutes though. At all times between Booze, Memo and Sap 2 will be on the floor.

How I see it, Millsap AND Boozer both deserve to be starters MORE than Okur does. Bring Okur off the bench as a Manu Ginobili-type threat. Sure Boozer and Millsap might be a little undersized, but they make up for it with strength and athleticism. Millsap would guard the PF's and Boozer would guard the C's. Millsap has the speed and athleticism guard perimeter-oriented PF's and Boozer has the strength and size to match up with low post-scoring C's. Boozer succeeds the most as a defender when he can play in the low post and force the opposing team's low post scorer of the block with his strength. And if everyone forgets, he wasn't having all that bad of a defensive season before he got injured. I am STILL really excited for this season. All I can say is that the Jazz are 24-16 and they are missing TWO players that have the capability of scoring 20+ points and grabbing 10+ rebounds EVERY NIGHT. This team is going to be SCARY good when it is completely healthy.

We have a boozer on our team that can guard someone? And he actually succeeds in something defensive related? Plus teams would be in the zone all night against us, who is going to stretch the floor? you have dwill and sometimes miles. they can just pack it in when Millsap, Boozer, Brewer are on the floor.

Dwill/Korver/X/Millsap/Boozer will do just fine against "packing it in". I hope we see that line-up often if we ever get to full strength.

Yeah, that's our bench unit, that's what makes this team special when we're healthy

why even worry about it?? remember who the coach of this team is. boozer might come off the bench right when he is coming back in order to get back into things but a week or 2 in and our starting lineup will be
C-MEMO
PF-BOOZER
SF- CJ ( even though it should be ak)
SG-BREWER
PG-DWILL
and thats exactly the lineup we should use, starting millsap and boozer together just isnt smart at all.

Look, anyone ever heard of Jerry Sloan?
Dude doesn't believe that you lose your starting spot to an injury.
Hard to bench Okur, since he recently scored a career high 43 points in a single game against the Pacers.
That's 2 more in a game than Booze and Deron have scored in their careers.. Nothing to scoff at.
Okur aint getting benched, and Booze will get his starting position back. Bet on it.
Sap is about to get CJ'd.
