Well, it just isn't our year. Maybe we can get lucky like the spurs and turn our one injury plagued year into some lotto luck.

It'll be really interesting to see if this team keeps fighting, or folds up the tent and quits.

Ummm, even if we lose every game from here on out that wont be the case.

Boozer and AK are out. We have to deal with it and get over our injury issues. Sloan wont make excuses so why should we?

We've got talent, we've got a team that can compete RIGHT NOW. Its just a matter of getting the energy level up, and keeping it up for 48 minutes a night. And as stated in the "Sneak in the back door thread", IF Booze and AK come back and are healthy we've got a legitimate shot of making a run in the playoffs.

Is the pick we owe Minnesota (via Philly) lotto protected?

Oh yeah, until like 2013.

Minnesota receives a first rounder (Rodney Carney trade 070908) via Philadelphia receives a Utah 2009 first round pick (protected) (Kyle Korver trade 122907).(The Wolves will get it if the Jazz pick lower than 22nd in 2009, 17th in 2010, 15th in 2011, 16th in 2012 or 16th in 2013.)

sissy!

I'm rather confident we have enough talent to get INTO the playoffs. But with out Booze and AK we are 4 n out!

With them... who knows!

It only took seven months, but we finally have the official protection on the first-round draft pick the Jazz gave up to Philadelphia back in December as part of the Kyle Korver/Gordan Giricek trade.

All the Jazz have said is that they wouldn't be giving up a lottery pick to the Sixers and that they likely would surrender the pick with the 2010 draft, when they expect to have an even higher pick coming their way from New York.

That description was pretty much accurate. According to a league source, the pick the Jazz sent to Philadelphia is protected 1 through 22 in 2009, 1 through 15 in 2010, 1 through 17 in 2011, 1 through 16 in 2012 and 1 through 16 in 2013.

What will our defense be without our "Garnett."

Whatever. Were not gonna fall to bar behind the 6-8th seed, but we can start having doubts about HCA and the Division.

The positive thing is our young players have watching more playing time and responsabilities, and they are growing (Millsap, Koufos, CJ) and this is good for us and our future.
Experience is a big thing in the NBA.

Start? We're far behind Denver, and they are playing great basketball without their top scorer (Melo).

The Division is a long shot if Denver slumps, HCA is not even on the radar right now.

We'll be fighting for our lives for the rest of the season and into the playoffs, time to see what we're made of. It's a great test for our young squad, and we can only benefit from the return of Booze
