The Utah Jazz will play the Charlotte Bobcats tonight without point guard Deron Williams.
According to a team spokesman, Williams has a "moderate right quad contusion" — in other words, a bruised thigh. But, the spokesman added, his knee is said to be "stable."
Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said Ronnie Price, the team's usual No. 3 point guard, will start in Williams' place.
As expected, Utah also will be without Carlos Boozer (knee surgery) and Andrei Kirilenko (ankle surgery).
