Kaman anyone?

Similiar to Amare, Kaman gives Jazz more height and shot blocking but he is slow. His contract is a little long and he makes approxiamately the same as Boozer makes now. Hoopshype.com says one GM says Clippers want to dump his salary. Would you trade Boozer for Kaman? Does that make Jazz better? Jazz would move Memo to bench or PF with Millsap to bench. LAC likely do it as it is a salary dump while Boozer would have interest in resigning with them. As a Jazz fan, I probably do it because Kaman is a very good center and good centers are hard to find, but it would mean likely losing Memo in off season as Jazz are not going to pay a backup (Millsap or Memo) alot of money.

Jazz this year: (I put Miles on bench where he should be) (2009)
PG Williams Price Knight
SG Brewer Miles
SF Korver AK-47 Harpring
PF Memo Millsap
C Kaman Memo Kosta

Jazz Next Year (2009-2010)
PG Williams Price
SG Brewer Miles
SF AK-47 Miles Harpring
PF Millsap Ak-47 Kosta
C Kaman Kosta Fess

Jazz in 2010-2011 pick up impact rookie with NYK pick where they might be good enough to make a run at it all. Jazz in 2011-2012 would have a very chance at it all.

What? This makes no sense.

If Boozer is interested in re-signing with them, he'll cost them a lot more money than Kaman. How is that a salary dump?

In all likelihood, he would not be interested, and the Clippers who have Randolph on the team already wouldn't pay him what he wants anyway. That means the Clippers give up Kaman for what, 20 games of Boozer? They should be able to get more long-term benefit than that.

I have to agree with LoserX on this one. Maybe we could package Okur with some future pieces for Kaman, but Boozer is sort of redundant on that roster.

Not only is he redundant for the Clips, I don't see how he makes us any better than we are now. We would be better off with Booz. Don't get me wrong, I love Kaman's game, but he's not the guy who's going to put us over that plateau that separates us from the best in the league.
