AK and Booze back vs. Memphis?

Post#1 » by @ndrew » Sun Feb 15, 2009 8:16 am

I read on DesNews that AK would be OK to play in Memphis game. Also, Boozer was said to be there too.

Can we finally see our team healthy so soon?

That's the hope. I don't see Boozer playing in Memphis, but I'll bet he is back for the Boston game.

AK, otoh, will almost certainly play vs. the Grizz.

It may finally be happening. We might actually have our first game with every player available as soon as Tuesday. Shhh, don't jinx it.

It would be nice to have Boozer back for Memphis just so he can stretch out his legs and get ready for Boston. If Boston really is his first game back, then I wouldn't expect him to score more than 15 points, which would cause us some problems.

I can't help but be a pessimist. It seems too good to be true. I'm not holding my breath. I'll believe it when I see it, but I'm still crossing my fingers!

It would be nice for AK to have a game under his belt before the big match up with Boston. I really doubt we see Boozer for at least another week, but whatever, as long as we get him back before too long I'll be happy.

I'm really excited for this team to be complete once again.

Sorry, It appears our backup point guard is still injured. Which is probably the biggest player outside the starting 5. In the Jazz case probably about 7 or 8 though.

I figure that Knight and Price are "six of one, half-a-dozen of another." In other words, as long as one is available we aren't really hurting much. Knight is a better floor general, passer and has more experience. Price is eons more athletic, a better penetrator and scorer, and a much better defender on the ball. I'm still not convinced that Knight should even be the backup.

No Boozer or AK for the Memphis game. Both still not quite right to play. That's a bummer because they could use a warm up game before Boston.

I wouldn't be surprised if Boozer doesn't suit up again this year. I'll be shocked if he's back for Memphis.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

He's out for sure, the Trib has already stated that he and AK are both no go's.

Check back tomorrow after the game. My guess is you will have lost. Most likely by double digits.
