So I figure with the trade dealine only 2 days away we could use a trade thread to post all the rumors and trade related idea's.
I'm going to make a list of the most valuable trade assets, feel free to add on to them or whatever.
1. 2010 Unprotected NYK pick.
2. Carlos Boozer Expiring Contract (PO)
3. Mehmet Okur Expiring Contract (PO)
4. Paul Millsap + Package
5. Andrei Kirilenko
6. Kyle Korver Expiring Contract (PO)
7. Jarron Collins/Morris Almond/Brevin Knight/Ronnie Price Expiring Contracts
* (PO): Player option for contract extension next season.
Other then that I really don't expect the Jazz to trade anything else unless the right trade came along.
Right now, my guess is that the Jazz don't make a move.

Yeah, Almond seems the most likely to get traded, wouldn't be surprised at all if that were to happen.
Remember our whopping Calvin Booth trade a couple of years ago. I believe it was for the right to swap second round pick or some crap. Exciting. Could be another one of those years.

While I think a trade would be nice, I just don't see anything that improves this team with the assets we have. I might be underestimating the allure of the NY pick though, but I don't see anything major that would happen here, maybe a role player for an expiring, but nothing big.

were we involved in a calvin booth trade? The only trade i can think of similar to your post is alan henderson from the sixers. just basically saving the sixers some cap or something. Im not complaining good relationships with other owners dont hurt i mean we did get korver for giri afterall.

I can see the Jazz grouping together Collins, Fesenko and Almond for a decent backup c/f that is also expiring. Maybe Joe Smith?

That's the name I was looking for.
I think it was just one of those freudian slips in which I had wished the Jazz could have gotten this handsome devil on the team.

1 is impossible without Minnesota being party to the trade.
I say no. If Boozer had been activated for Milsap's cold spell you may have seen some fireworks. I can't even find a spot for Almond. An Almond for random journeyman with draft pick swap considerations seems in line, but I cant find a good fit.

Here we go:
Almond and Collins for
Zaza Pachulia
Saves Atlanta 300 G this year and gives them a decent player to resign cheap. Local guy too. Jazz upgrade their reliable flopper.

Such a joke. Every year people think we can group up 2 or 3 pretty bad players and get a decent big. Just doesn't happen. There are so few good centers in the league that NO team would trade one for a couple players that are a dime a dozen.

If Boozer manages to show sound health in the next three days, it is highly likely that he goes IMO. Despite denials of the rumors, I think the Boozer to Houston for Scola/Artest deal is far too logical to not take seriously. It just works for everybody.

Except for the part that (1) Artest is a cancer that the Jazz would never risk their chemistry on; and (2) Scola is a good, not great, big man, this trade is a match made in heaven

Yeah! ^^ I want Zaza, he would fit right in with Okur and AK...Other than that, I think all is going to be quiet on the Jazz front. I hope to God we trade Almond.

I think we will see a move. The Jazz have stated that they wouldnt be totally opposed to taking on some extra salary, which might actually net them something decent in return from another team just for cap space.
I do think in all honesty though that the most likely player to be moved is Almond. I remember rumors back in October that they were shopping him. I also think they'd like to get something in return for him because they're just going to let him walk this summer otherwise.
One more trade piece the Jazz have is the draft rights to Ante Tomic. From what I hear he has been solid in Europe, and with Fess and Koufos already on the roster, possibly for a few more years, I just dont see Tomic being an option for the Jazz.

Nearly 3=2. The trade dealine is exactly 2 Days, 20 hours, 11 minutes away.

Well, with the lack of solid rumors out there, it seems to me like this is going to be a crap shoot of a trade deadline. We really aren't hearing any new rumblings about Amare Stoudamire, and even the Amare trades won't have anything to do with the Jazz.
I'll just be happy to have the Jazz back and playing again tomorrow!

The three trades so far are as follows!
1. Marion for Jermaine
2. Alex Acker for right to swap second round picks with the Clippers
3. Sam Cassell for right to swap second round picks with the Kings

Rumors that Chandler could be going to the Thunder for expiring Wilcox and Joe Smith.
