How good are the Jazz 2009?

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Fri Feb 20, 2009 6:50 am

Forget the first half of season. Once your in the playoffs, anything can happen. Home court advantage simply gets u game 7 at home so that is not really going to matter.

The question is not whether Jazz make the playoffs but whether they are a 4-8 seed and how good they play in playoffs. Jazz 2009 beat a tired Lakers and a garnetless Celtics, but also showed Williams playing great along with Memo. AK-47 looks healthy and motivated even though stupid Sloan did not give him enough minutes.

Jazz win west if Boozer comes back strong and Korver starts hitting shots more consistently, otherwise Jazz make early exit in playoffs.

I think Jazz down fall is not going to be the defense which has been a problem for a coule of years. Their downfall is Korver, Brewer, and Miles inability to make shots especially on the road. Korver maybe the most over-rated player in the NBA.

Final verdict 2nd round and out.

We should therefore trade Boozer, and Deron Williams for Stephon Marbury.

The topic is not about trades but how good do think the Jazz are compared to other teams in the West. At times look like the best and on other times looked bad especially defensively. My opinion is they are pretty good lacking a SG/SF that can hit key shots in the 4th Quarter especially on the road.

Whats you opinion??? The trade comment is off topic and shows your stupidity.

2nd or 2rd in the west while healthy. Keeping healthy though is a criteria for greatness as much as natural talent though.

lawl.

i d say around 3rd, definitely behind lakers and slightly behind spurs. i think by some miracle if jazz can avoid either of these team until wcf, anything can happen, i just dont see beating both back to back in 7 game series.

Ohh snap, HolyToledo has gained a sense of intelligence and stupidity. Perhaps we won't see Kobe Bryant for CJ Miles trades anymore.

Yes, HCA definitely doesn't matter. Even if the Jazz play .793 at home and a woeful .346 on the road. No difference at all. Tard.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets fell out of the playoff picture, I think we have a legitimate chance to get as high as the #4 seed once Boozer comes back, but I don't see us getting past the 2nd round.

We'll finish close to what we were last season if we have a good second half. Despite some impressive wins against the two top teams in the league, we are a transparent team on the road. I say maybe a 4th seed this year. Would be nice to have homecourt advantage for once....

Good god DelaneyRudd you nearly have 24,000 posts....

If completely healthy, the Jazz are the third best team in the West behind LA and SA.

I know this doesn't apply to all Jazz fans, but why is it that your board has the highest ratio of posters who think they are intellectually on par with Alan Watts?

Simple question....not trying to start anything. And I'm not trying to implicate Duiz or anything, nor am I singling anyone out (despite the fact that I'm quoting this guy....erudite23 is the other guy who comes to mind off the top of my head), it just seems that you get the most a-hole posts coming from this particular board. I don't make it a habit to visit your board, it just seems that the posts that I normally see from Jazz fans on the general board have a hearty amount of a-hole laced within the text. Even amongst yourself, nobody seems to be immune to random attempts at condescension.

If you think I'm an A-hole for posting this...so be it; like I said not here to start anything...I won't respond back, and I'll kindly be leaving now. I'm fully ready for all of the "WTF are you doing on our board....get the hell out of here.....who the hell asked you....***#$# #($*#& @#($*&#( (*&#" I accept that and acknowledge it....I guess I'm really just talking to the level headed non-elitest Jazz fans....I know you guys are out there. Sorry to hear about Larry H by the way.

To answer the OP, I'd say the Jazz are 2nd best in the west, and as a Laker fan I'd rather see the Spurs then the Jazz in the Playoffs.

Well put, and I'm glad someone FINALLY said something. Sometimes I feel like I'm on the cougarboard when I come here....

I consider e23 very intellectual. He can go over with people who drives him nuts with their stupidity, homerism or lack of knowledge of the game, but I'm on his side every time, so what the heck..
