Needless to say, February was a monumental success. The Jazz went into the second month of the year with a record of 26-22 and will likely leave it with a record of 36-23, gaining 3 games on division leading Denver.
In this next month, there will be a total of 15 games, with 9 of those being on the road, and the remaining 6 being at home. The Jazz have a 5 game road trip starting on the 8th, which will probably be highlighted by a match-up against the Jameer-Nelsonless-Magic. Other than that, some pivotal division games are coming up, most importantly against Denver and Houston at home and Portland on the road.
Sun, Mar 1 @ Golden State
Wed, Mar 4 Houston
Fri, Mar 6 Denver
Sun, Mar 8 @ Toronto
Tue, Mar 10 @ Indiana
Wed, Mar 11 @ Atlanta
Sat, Mar 14 @ Miami

Tue, Mar 17 Washington
Fri, Mar 20 @ Oklahoma City

I said 10-5 which I think would be a massive success.
The Jazz should win all 6 home games, and if they can go 4-5 on the road this month it will be a very good month, anything more and I will be truly shocked.
If the Jazz have a 46-28 record at the end of March, and only have to win 4 games in the month of April to get to 50 wins they would have to be extremely pleased. I know I would be.

12-3 Bitches. And there's NO WAY we lose at Phoenix. We've dominated them the last few seasons, only reason we lost last itme is because we didn't have Boozer to take away Amare's boards.

Sun, Mar 1 @ Golden State W - Ellis out, team is in tank mode, should be easy
Wed, Mar 4 Houston W - Houston will play Toronto the night before, while Utah is rested
Fri, Mar 6 Denver W - Denver will be tired from playing the Blazers the night before
Sun, Mar 8 @ Toronto W - Raptors suck
Tue, Mar 10 @ Indiana W - Pacers sucks
Wed, Mar 11 @ Atlanta W - Our guys will probably have their minutes managed well enough at Indiana
Sat, Mar 14 @ Miami W - Miami beat Utah at home, I smell revenge
Sun, Mar 15 @ Orlando L - AT ORLANDO, and we'll tired from the night before
Tue, Mar 17 Washington W - Wizards are terribly bad
Fri, Mar 20 @ Oklahoma City W - Should be a hard fought game if healthy, but we should win
Tue, Mar 24 Houston W - With no McGrady, we front Yao and let Artest have his chuck fest
Wed, Mar 25 @ Phoenix L - Tough game on the road, and on a 2nd of a back to back
Sat, Mar 28 Phoenix W - At our home there is not way we loose to Phoenix without Amare
Mon, Mar 30 NY Knicks W - Knicks give us a tough time, but I think we'll do fine at home
Tue, Mar 31 @ Portland L - Fource 2nd of a back to back on the road in March! Talk about a tough schedule!
We need to have a great month to get 3rd or 4th.

I predict 10-5, two big games coming up this week at home, we need to win those before we go on the eastern roadie

Huge win against Golden State tonight, really didn't see that happening. Still like my 10-5 prediction though, but the upside is looking good.

Wow 15 games. It's gonna be a packed season full of games. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we dropped all 5 on the eastern road swing. This team still hasn't proven to me that they can consistently win on the road. I say 9-6

Sun, Mar 1 @ Golden State W All ready played
Wed, Mar 4 Houston W Houston tired
Fri, Mar 6 Denver W Demver tired
Sun, Mar 8 @ Toronto W
Tue, Mar 10 @ Indiana Loss, Indianna is playing better
Wed, Mar 11 @ Atlanta Loss, Jazz tired
Sat, Mar 14 @ Miami Loss, Snowball effect
Sun, Mar 15 @ Orlando L
Tue, Mar 17 Washington W
Fri, Mar 20 @ Oklahoma City Loss, OK is playing better at home
Tue, Mar 24 Houston L Houston is gunning for us
Wed, Mar 25 @ Phoenix L
Sat, Mar 28 Phoenix W
Mon, Mar 30 NY Knicks L, its the knicks
Tue, Mar 31 @ Portland L
So I am predicting 6 wins 8 losses. The jazz have done nothing to convince me they can win on the road. Even golden state took the 4th qtr to beat with golden state being tired and without their best player.

In other words the hottest team in the NBA is going to go 43% in the next 14 games, including 2 home losses, to the Knicks and to the Rockets without T-MAC and Alston? Yao is an easy cover for us with Okur fronting him.

12-3 with losses to magic, blazers and your pick of crap team on the road.

The last two away games Minnesota and Golden state, it took a big 4th qtr to win. Those teams are chumps. WHat makes you think this team has learned to win on the road. And another disappointing road trip will mess with the mind so a home loss to the knicks who always seem to beat us and the rockets is possible. I hope you are right, but I do not believe. (Yet)

You say the Jazz had to wait until the fourth quarter to beat these teams, but that teaches you a lot. The fact is, (and we have seen it recently with the huge come backs teams have had in the past week in the fourth quarter) but you aren't ever really going to close out a team in the 3rd quarter, so winning games in the 4th quarter is huge.
Also, if you look at the last two games the Jazz have played they have outscored the opposing teams in the fourth quarter 62 to 41. That's nothing to turn a cold shoulder too. That's a big deal. That's an entire half of basketball, both in tight games where the Jazz have put it in gear and really locked down the opposing team. For a team to hold a home team to an average of 20.5 points in the fourth quarter is good whoever you are playing. I like that the Jazz have been able to defender better when it counts, that's something they hadn't done yet this season and I think it's a good sign.
