MIL trades
Redd
Jefferson
MIL Receives
AK-47
Kapono

TOR trades
Kapono
TOR Receives
Redd

Jazz Trade
AK-47
Jazz Receives
Jefferson

The Bucks make this trade for a few reasons. One it saves money for the team, about 8 Mil for next year. Helps make sure we bring back sessions, then we have leverage with CV to try and work a sign and trade. We get a great defender at the 4 spot, get someone who would work out really well next to bogut. Also is clears the way for LRM to start at the 3 spot next season.

The Raptors do it because they up grade the 2 spot, they give bosh another option on offense. They also get rid of a bad contract, so although redd is getting paid max money, your only paying 10 million more over what you would of had with kapono. Also you gain a first round draft pick. Still have about 10 million to spend this off season.

The Jazz do it because they seem to be up against luxuary tax next year. Assuming boozer opts out and Okur stays, leaves you about 59 million. This deal saves you about 2million with the RJ for AK swap. Also its an upgrade at the 3 spot, AK is better served to play the 4. Makes sure that you guys are able to resign millsap

Since no jazz fans commented on it, I thought i'd bring it straight to you guys. Let me know if you like it or what you want added. The bucks would listen to taking on a little salary from the jazz if thats whats needed or a second.
Thanks in advance for the input!

I guess there was a reason no Jazz fan commented it b/c we've seen something similar hundreds of times over the last half year....seriously? Trade deadline is passed & we're still getting these thread cluttering up the forum?

To tell truth, Joe Alexander>RJ in 2 years. I would probably do the deal with Alexander, he would fit in Harpring role great when Harpring leaves. But I doubt Utah would ever do the deal.

So RJ, Joe and are second for AK?

We'd also be willing to take some type of a contract back.

The problem is that the Jazz have enough enough as it is: Boozer 20+ppg when healthy, Williams is averaging 18.6ppg, Okur is averaging 18.2ppg, Millsap is averaging 14.4ppg, Brewer is 14.1ppg, Kirilenko is is 12.4ppg, Miles is 9.8ppg, and Korver is averaging 8.5ppg (11.4 in his last 5). Basically we have 8 guys hovering around 10ppg or more, we can sacrifice defense for more offense. Utah is averaging 103.1ppg, 6th in NBA, 2nd amongst playoff teams, and they are 3rd for FG%, 2nd amongst playoff teams. They are arguably the best offense team considering they are top 6 in ppg, FG%, and apg (which they are 1st in the NBA). As a defensive team Utah is average.

cap space, they're the only team that would take on his contract for almost nothing

Thats why I said we'd be willing to take on some type of contract back from you guys

I'm just saying since I assume boozer is leaving and you guys need to resign millsap maybe you guys are looking to save a little money. Its not like RJ is a downgrade, the only real downgrade would be on D. Buts its not like your getting a terrible defender, he's still an above average defender.

You don't understand, RJ's scoring production will go down to 13-15ppg on the Jazz, since he'd be the 3rd or 4th option as a starter. Brewer already provides much of what Jefferson would, plus the defense. There is simply no need for RJ, while Kirilenko is our Ginobili, we need him.

Alexander is the perfect SF for Sloan's system, him and Brewer would be pretty sick when RJ's deal does run out...but I agree Jefferson is a downgrade.
