I can tell you without a shadow of doubt that Rockets fans hate the city, the team, and the fans of Utah. This didn't just happen after the play off losses; this is something that Rocket Fans have agreed on since our first championship year, when you guys attempted to cheat on the shot clock. I think it’s all in the spirit of competitive fun, so even though we are enemies on the court we all should get along of the court. Here are some of the photo shop albums being posted as we speak on the rockets website “Clutch fans. net” I was just wondering was the feeling mutual?

recently i think you guys have gone up on the list, your definitely one of the jazz's biggest rivals, but theres still denver and portland.

I used to respect the Rockets team with Hakeem and its clutch players including Horry, Cassell, and Elie. The current Rockets team is like the tinman, the scarecrow, and the cowarldy lion, lacking heart, courage, or brains.

How could I hate the Rockets when they roll over every year for the Jazz in the playoffs? I LOVE the Rockettes! The Lakers are the true wicked witch of the west that the Rockets wish they were. But I can completely understand the Rox hatred for us. Just think of what the Jazz have done to that franchise in recent years!

Ironic that the guy that posts a million photoshop pics, including one that says there is nothing to do in Utah, somehow has so much time on his hands to come up with all that. Must not be much to do in Houston either right?

Actually, now that Babymac is out for the season, I would rather not play the Rockets in the first round. They might actually figure out how to win in the playoffs without him...

Who cares about the Rockets? Contenders matter, first round place holders don't.

I don't hate the rockets at all. I consider them a rival, but have much more hatred towards the Lakers and Nuggets.

With Scola and Battier on your team, I don't understand why you want to even mention flopping. It isn't really even a close comparison to who flops more.

Rockets are my number 1 hated team for sure! It couldn't have happened without realgm tho, this place gets pretty crazy during the Jazz-Rockets games. i really used to hate the nuggets alot but ever since Chauncy got there, its not the same, i respect that guy so much.

This is what it boils down to for me personally-

There are good teams, and then there are better teams. I don't really hate any of them.

The Rockets are a great team, with a lot of heart and some very talented players. Do I think Yao is full of it sometimes? Of course. Do I think he's a bad player? No way. The guy has proven to be a force in 6+ years of playing in the NBA. Do I think Ron Artest is an unfathomable douche? Absolutley, but damn that guy can play. I used to have a lot of respect for McGrady, but he pissed that all away when he made those selfish, idiotic comments before the trade deadline. What a copout on his part.

As a sports fan, I cannot deny the overall greatness of the Rockets franchise. They won two titles in the 90s' with some great teams (without having to play MJ, luckily), and have generally stayed consistent since then. So, I think its rather foolish to say "they suck" or don't have any heart. I do get tired of the useless banter that Rockets fans choose to post on various message boards.

I suppose the thing that bothers me the most is how they (some Rockets fans) suggest that they have been the better team the last couple of years and that we just got "lucky" and had the refs on our side. Look, say what you want, but the better team won the first round matchup the last 2 years. People can make a lot of excuses, but facts are facts and the Jazz won on the Rockets home floor in a game 7 one year and the next extinguished them fairly easily. I guess I just wonder if these people realize that no one cares about their empty, whiny conspiracy theories- at least not outside of Houston.

As a jazz fan, I agree with some of what you have to say, SLC is a horrible city. Also some or most fans of the jazz are idiots. Personally, I don't see houston as a rival though. I would agree with the others that the Lakers or the Spurs are our biggest rivals (no offense).

Hating the rockets is sort've like hating the doormat in front of your house. What's the point?

For as many things as you can find wrong with the Salt Lake Metro I can honestly say I am truly grateful I don't live in Houston. The rest of Texas is cool, but Houston is a filthy, over built crap hole built by Neo-Con oil **** heads. To say it was poorly planned is an understatement. It wasn't planned. There was no urban planning that went into it. You have to endure hour long commutes in order to live anywhere respectable and have a job at the same time. The people are as nice (or not) as anywhere in America, so I'm not bagging on individual people.

I think that the Rockets rivalry is pretty hot. They have more hate for us than any other team in my opinion and I've really started to feel the same way back at them. I still hate the Lakers more as a team, but I'd say the worst team+fanbase is for sure the Rockets.

the rocket's fans complain about officiating so much, in my opinion, because they're force-fed the BS coming out of the Rocket Announcers mouths. They have to be the most biased, ridiculous announcers in the league, and Houston just eats it up. I recommend tuning in and listening whenever you get a chance.
