Its official..we've made another mistake on a "max" player

When Anthony freaking CARTER kicks the **** out of you, youre not a max player....and thats just one example of a scrub having his way with Deron.

We've again paid out max money to a very good role player....when are we going to stop making that stupid mistake?

Lets just hope Deron doesnt fall off the face of the earth like AK once that money kicks in.......and PLEASE, lets not make this mistake again with Boozer!

Wow, you are out of your mind. Pull the gun away from your head, you will realize that we have the 2nd best PG in the league, what is he supposed to do when nobody is making shots! Fans like you don't deserve to have a PG as good as DWill.

And since when did a players greatness depend on OTHERS making shots??

If someone else is making the shot, YOURE not great.

Lets distinguish between "very good", and "max player"

Max players (at least deserving ones), dont have absolutely PATHETIC records on the road.

It easily has much more to do with the rest of the team. Sure, Deron has a LOT to learn about leading his team on the road, but he is hardly the problem. Solve the interior defense problem, and then start bitching about DWill, but really, you are being very ridiculous.

He's a PG, he can't MAKE them make their shots. How many layups have been missed tonight? Is that his fault? Your reasoning is very out there.

There isn't a team in the league that wouldn't pay him max other than one with another top 5 PG.

Well he could start by making his own......he could also set his teammates up for easier shots than their getting.

He could also do his team a HUGE favor by making Anthony Carter look like the scrub that he is, instead of the max player Deron wants to be.

Yeah, 5 30 point games in a row wasn't making his own. Yeah, averaging a double double isn't setting up his teammates for easy shots. Man, 10.6 APG is so WEAK!

You don't think it has more to do with the frustration of having to watch his teammates miss his setups that is what is getting to him tonight, not Anthony Carter? He didn't even guard him for that long. You are really out on a limb on this one...

With all due respect, I doubt it you clown.

The sooner they give their max-worthy PG some frontcourt help the better off will be the Jazz and their fans. Memo, Boozer and Andrei are absolutely not the answer for various reasons, most of which begin with "d". Simply put, they don't fit in a way that doesn't make the Jazz's defense horrendous. It's nice to have the offensive variety, but we know what really wins titles.

Besides, I can't see how Miller Jr., by his own admittance not the impassioned Jazz fan that was his father, could put up with dolling out so much in player payroll to this lot in this economic climate. Particularly with a lowered cap figure and luxury tax line. I'm looking forward to seeing what they can get from at least two of the aforementioned trio in the offseason.

It's time to touch up the team around the MAX PG.

worst thread ever. Stevebozell is the worst poster on realgm too. where were you to praise Deron when he had that sick run of 30points in 5 games? I'm sure you weren't thinking "Deron isn't a max player" then. Or how about the 12 game win streak? Deron wasn't worth the money then either, hmm? Yes, Deron isn't playing the way he should be playing. I think he hasn't realized yet that this is HIS team. He needs to carry them and not rely so much on Boozer and Okur. He let Booze take 20 shots!!! I have not lost any hope in Dwill, he's one of the only guys out there who play like they give a damn, he will take this team to a higher level and make this team "Deron's Jazz" as TNT was saying in the show.

I still think and feel Deron's not a max guy yet. As I said before I think he has not really improved any of his flaws during the last 3 seasons.... yet to say Deron's "a very good role player"... wow... it's too much for me...
Deron's a hell of a player and we should give him credit for make our team competitive when he's somehow doomed by an inadequate frontcourt.

2nd BEST PG IN THE NBA! Almost any NBA analyst has said that this season! He was having a horrendous game in Denver, yet he kept us in the game at all at the end. His two 3 point plays were spectacular. He set up so many easy layups tonight, yet Anderson had 8 blocks. Whose fault is that?

I would much sooner point the finger at the MORON who touched the ball AS IT WAS GOING IN THE HOOP that stopped us from getting to within striking distance! I am fed up with Boozer, who we will undoubtedly offer a max deal, which will be one of the worst days in the history of the Jazz. I really hope we let him go. We so badly need defense right now, I really hope we address that concern in the off season.

Seriously, almost any team in the league would take Deron and give him MAX PAY, he is THAT GOOD.

This was one of the worst games Deron has had all season, and he finished with 18/10/2/1 with only three turnovers and 8-9 from the foul line.

I wish everyone sucked as bad as Deron.
