8th Seed here we come!

Post#1 » by Reckless » Fri Apr 3, 2009 6:40 am

I never thought it would get this bad, but this might be the most disappointing jazz season in my lifetime. we are going to need Dallas to collapse down the stretch and lose some home games or we are screwed. the last game of the season will be our first round opponent... :banghead:

Um...**** yes. Who wouldn't want Utah in the first round? As long as they have HCA on the Jazz, they'll destroy us. Fisher will personally score 40+ every game.

...Anyways...yeah, this might be one of the most frustrating jazz squads i've ever seen.

This team is extremely frustrating to watch. At times they look like a championship caliber team (mainly at home), and at other times they look like a lottery team. I think it boils down to two problems. First, I think the trend in this league is length and overall athleticism. While the jazz have some players that are athletic, the overall roster does not reflect the league trend. Second, and I think this more devastating, there is something seriously wrong with this team's psyche. Players like Boozer seem to play with no fire or a sense of urgency, and the road performences speaks volumes about this team's well being. I think a serious overhaul of this roster is necessary, or we can say goodbye to Deron once he becomes a free agent.

Lakers sweep. Sorry, but the way this team is playing, I have no doubt in my mind that they won't win a single game.

Considering most of us were thinking at least a Western Conference Finals appearance, this is easily the most disappointing season of my lifetime. What a bummer.

Lets keep things in perspective, the playoffs are a new season, everyone starts out from scratch. Home court advantage will hurt us, but lets see how the games play out. You guys all sound like the team is already out of the playoffs and the world is ending. Just calm down, the playoffs are the best time of the year, this is where we REALLY get to see who this bipolar team is.

I hope this team is bipolar or were screwed. Someone better get angry and take charge with this team quick or were done for. I always thought Deron was the leader of this team but he hasn't shown me much during this slump other then trying to win the game on his own. He needs to take some notes from Chris Paul and actually get on the team for lack of heart and effort, or score 40+ points a night while getting 9+ rebounds and assists...Sloan could get a little more upset then just clapping his hands and telling them to stay positive also...

Unless Deron is back tonight and scores 35+ as the Jazz blow out the Clippers by 40 I am convinced that this team is done in 4 no matter who they play.

Its pretty surprising that Utah is in 8th. Before the season, everyone in here was predicting 54+ wins and a #2 seed going into the playoffs.
