Lets see, this team wont make a dangerous big move. We cant afford to resign everybody. So we are going to see the same team with less talent. So no Next season will not be better. We may win the same number of games if the team stays healthy, but we will for now be a borderline playoff team.

It might just be me, but I really believe that Koufos will become a pretty decent player next year. I wish KOC would finally realize they need a shotblocker though. Odds are we won't have to see Knight or Collins again next year & Harpring's expiring could end up becoming a nice trade asset.

Yes we will. It's addition by subtraction.

2 years ago the Jazz made the WCF.
Last year we made the second round.
This year we look bound for a for a first round loss.
Next year... no playoffs?

Sometimes a less talented roster makes a better team.
Remenber team of 98
Ostertag was less talented than Okur
Malone more than Boozer
Russell less than AK (I don't put CJ because he is starting but he is not a starter)
Hornacek more than Brewer (but Brewer have a few things better than Jeff... remember it was a 35 years old Hornacek with one leg)
Stockton of 98 was not clearly better than Deron in 2009 (don't blast me, stockton was averaging less points, assists than deron is doing this year... another thing is that Stockton was better leader, better deffense)
Then Bench
Then our bench is more talented than 98 bench.
98 Team was a lot better, 2009 roster is more talented.
So what?
Great teams are made by two stars and a few role players who know what to do.
We have one star, two players who could be allstar but they are not (they don't deserve), one player who was an allstar and right now I don't know what is (AK) and a few role players.

I don't think we ever do much as long as AK is on the payroll. Interesting player, nice enough guy, but a tremendous financial liability.
Throw whoever you want under the bus, they probably deserve it. But you're not going to pick up the pieces you need as long as you carry a Knicks type contract in AK.
Good luck piecing together a team under the tax if Boozer and Okur stick around.
This off-season may be more entertaining than the playoffs.

WCF was a fluke, period. 8 beating a one. Leave it to Jazz fans to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
The wins over Houston were significant, no doubt, but even then a 1st round exit almost happened.
This year is not comparable, in the least.
Utah is a 2nd tier team, period. Jazz fans should get that into their heads right away.
SECOND ROUND IS GRAVY THIS YEAR...DEAL WITH IT.
WCF???? Sure, no doubt Dallas will beat L.A in the first round.
Sorry, it might be the Suns,
The real question is this: Who should we draft with the 14th pick?

it's hard to top a championship. I guess another title and the knicks getting the a top 3 lottery pick that goes to us would top it.
