Not only are the free agents going to keep the summer rumors going, the Jazz are guaranteed to have a draft pick of at worst the #21 pick! That means we actually have something to pay attention too from after the first round to the end of June!

At least there is some bright side to this miserable ending of the season!

So Utah is guaranteed to get their pick since I doubt they will be 6th in the West...

We'll have six focking months to relax... it's something I hate about NBA... too many time off... more time off than competing (if your team doesn't go to the finals)

Agreed, waaay too much time off between...anything really. The draft even seems far off if your team doesn't make it to the finals.

Well, the real dead time doesn't start until after the Rocky Mountain Revue and before the start of the preseason in October. Those few months are brutal, and when I become a big time White Sox fan.

Gay.

On a lighter note I hope we lose and get embarrassed by the Lakers to bring about some big time change. Im sick and tired of the run of mediocrity under Sloan. I think 3 yrs together, 3 yrs of not winning on the road is enough for me to boot Booz, AK and Memo. At least 2 of them need to go.

KOC needs to get creative this summer. We need to take risks.

3 teams. Dont forget the Utes.

Ive been in OC for the last week visiting my girlfriend and her family. Enjoying the warm weather and beach. Missing a couple days of school has kicked my ass though. Im trying to finish everything up for the summer before I go to chicago.

Lucky for me I got to miss the NW Division ass kicking and the warriors beat down.

I wouldn't be surprised if we just end up trading it for a future pick or selling it for cash. If the team is really serious about the luxury tax, adding a guaranteed salary for a guy who won't contribute much for a couple of years makes no sense.

You are right, we don't need another prospect a la Fessenko or Almond.

I'd love to get a player like Patrick Mills or Eric Maynor in the draft. I would only trade the pick on draft night if someone doesn't fall to you.

Patrick Mills would be an amazing player to get. He'd be a great backup PG and might push Deron to SG sometimes.

I've seen him play in the NZ vs AUS Fiba match (courtside btw) and he was amazing. He's definite NBA quality talent.

I understand that aussies and kiwis (New Zealand) are closer to WNBA in skills however watching Mills was like watching MJ back in the day. He was severely underused in the game I saw however whenever he was on the court it was clear he was the best player.

If he drops low enough for us to get him or if we could trade up to get him it would be worthwhile. He may be a star player that falls thru due to size and exposure, at the very worst he will be a solid role player.

Talks with NY bout Boozer could be making things interesting.

With Lee a FA there is nothing NY can give us. Because of draft pick rules they can't trade their 09 pick because the Jazz own the 10 pick, and there is a consecutive year rule. I wonder how much grief the Jazz pick has given the Knicks over the years. They couldn't trade future picks very easy because it could be the Jazz's and now they are a lottery team with the next year pick being lost for good.

Makes you realize the NBA is not a big market league. With OKC getting a team, NYK being screwed for years. Even the big market Lakers are a team built around good moves, not Yankee style poaching.
