From what I've been reading in the SLC papers, it doesn't seem like Okur will be ready for game 1, and possibly more or the whole series. I want to see what KK can do against their bigs.

Well a rotation of Collins and Kosta makes more sense than Collins and Fes. Thats virtually no offense.

Honestly, if I were coaching the team I would start Kosta against Bynum. Kosta is gonna have so much energy right out the gate I think that he can match Bynum for a few minutes. I wouldnt play Kosta heavy minutes, just right at the start of the game. Have Booze matched up with Gasol and tell Booze to just push him out as hard as he can.

I wish Boozer could do that. But Gasol is so much stronger than him, it's virtually impossible for Boozer to keep him out of the paint...

Starting Kosta may not actually be a bad idea. He's gonna have a lot of energy and he gives us some size. He might be too nervous though and we might dig ourselves into a hole we can't crawl out of. Still, it's worth a try IMO. It's not like we have a better chance with Collins starting.

I do not mind Collins as the starter. He can flop, take legit charges, clog the lane and even get a garbage bucket or two (even midrange). The person who needs to make up for Memos absence is indeed KK... Kyle Korver.

I wouldn't mind a Collins/Fesenko/Koufos rotation for the C spot. All are better defensive players then Okur is, and all of them are longer then Okur.

You know what... I'd start the game with Collins and Koufos, bringing Boozer from the bench to help our secind unit against the tough Laker second unit.
What could we lose? A sloppy starting of the game? Yeah... as if our starters never ever started a big game playing crappy...

Actually, it's been the third quarter that's been killing us lately even when we are up at the half. The same quarter after halftime where the opposing coach makes adjustments and where the Jazz just seem to fall apart.

For what's its worth, Koufos plays solid D, I don't know why we don't play him.

A taller version of John Amaechi. Nice midrange jumper, able to grab a few rebounds. Not much of an athletic guy. I can picture him as a backup, maybe for about 15-20 minutes.

Has anyone seen him play? He was sent to the D-league for a reason. He was out of shape (still is) from not playing while he was up. He has no mid-range shot (except during warm-ups). The only positive is that he can block a shot now and again. I'm not as down on him as I am Fes, but lets be realistic, this kid has a long ways to go and the only reason he is on the playoff roster is to keep his spirits up going into next year.

He is a rookie. He will give you about 7 mins a game. Did he even dress for game 1? I saw Fes on the bench but not Koufos. I probably wasn't paying attention but still.
