I have a question...

I have a question for you guys... If the Nets were to offer a package for AK-47 starting with Bobby Simmons and Jarvis Hayes do you think the Jazz would bite?
The thinking from an outsider is that the Jazz would like to reduce salary and getting out from the last year of AK-47's contract would go a long way towards doing that...*
I just don't know how much Utah really values Kirilenko, is he still considered a vital part of the team (because of his defense and shot-blocking)?
*For the Nets I just feel like AK-47 at the 4 would be a great compliment to Brook Lopez.

Throw in a pick and it would be considered. Otherwise I would rather pay AK for another year then have 2 players that are much worse than him. Make it Josh Boone and Simmons and that could work also.

See that's another thing that puzzles me, the Nets are supposedly putting Josh Boone and Sean Williams on the block this summer, Williams I can understand but Boone putting Boone on the block I don't quite get... I guess the team must still be high on Yi (god damn it).
But personally Boone + Simmons for AK-47 is something I wouldn't be against, I'd actually prefer it to Hayes + Simmons, since the Nets need all the scoring they can get off the bench.
I originally included Hayes though because he can play a bit of defense, and score the basketball so I thought he'd help to fill the void left by Kirilenko... I take it you guys feel CJ Miles and Korver can already do that?

In one year Kirilenko will be a very large expiring. The Jazz will also have a high pick from the Knicks. This combo could get us back a superstar in return if a superstar is in the position of demanding a trade or being on a floundering team.

And if the Jazz are willing to take on another huge salary. That's the huge kicker for me in a lot of trades being thrown down nowadays, there's not a whole lot of transparency in most NBA team's books so it's hard to tell how well a franchise is really doing.
But I see your point.

While Kirilenko is not earning the size of his contract, he is not a lost roster spot.
