Trade for Marcus Camby

The Jazz trade Harping and Miles plus the 2010 Knicks pick for Camby . the Jazz let Okur leave then resign Boozer and Milsap. Harping money that we trade away for Camby is used to resign Milsap for 7 million a year. The clippers do the trade in order to get 2010 knicks pick. The jazz are now able to keep both Boozer and Milsap plus add a defensive center in Camby. The jazz look at a backup point guard in free agency plus draft Young from Pittsburgh with 21 pick. Also look to add a cheap bigman like Skinner.

2010 pick!!!! Are you nuts? Camby isn't worth the 10th pick in this draft, let alone a real shot at top 3 next one. He is always hurt and another year older. No way.

This is idiocy.
However, you are on the right track.
Getting Camby is a good shot to take, but we shouldn't have to give up a primo draft pick in order to do it.
Camby is at the end of his career and the Clippers aren't going anywhere. They only gave up a 2nd rounder to get him. I'm thinking some combination of expirings and a future late 1st would probably do it.

Camby wouldn't fit in Utah.

2010 pick !!! NO!
Camby has 1 year or maybe 2 years.... 2010 pick should be a good prospect.

The Knicks first pick for Camby..??
It's absurd....
I prefer Chandler...
But don't touch the first pick...

i've always loved camby's game, brings a defensive presence that we lack, and can even step out and nail a 20 foot jumper if he needs to (even if his form is atrocious) but like everyone else has said, dude has 1 or 2 good years left.

I wanted Camby about 4 years ago... but I think he would could still use him if we got him cheap.

I am also of the opinion that Camby would be a nice short term option if we can get him without giving up too much, but the 2010 pick is too valuable of an asset to give up for somebody as old and injury prone as Camby. We'll see what happens in the offseason, but, at this moment, that pick, whether we use it to draft an elite prospect or swap it for somebody who can really help us in the long term, might just be our best hope for convincing Deron to stick around after his extension elapses.

I think that Camby would actually fit in really well here. He can hit the midrange jumper consistently and would give this team a defensive presence at the rim they havent had since Greg Ostertag circa 1998.

The only reason I trade the Knicks pick is because I want to have the money to sign both Boozer and Milsap to new contracts. I want to keep most of are players together but want to add a couple of defensive players in Camby and Skinner.
