Someone else posted this trade i dea but i thought it helped both teams significantly.
This way you dont lose Boozer for nothing. You get a much improved sg in Gordon and a good young player to work with in Thomas. And it allows you to get Millsap off the bench and into the starting rotation. I think this trade helps both teams.

Utah:
Boozer at 14 mil a year

Chicago:
Gordon at 10 mil a year
Tyrus thomas

10 mil a year for how many years though? I don't think we need to add salary like that for the long term.

I would do it. Thomas is a legit defensive force inside and would compliment Okur really well. Millsap-Thomas-Kirilenko rotation would actually be pretty decent defensively. I think I would want to include Miles though and get something else out of the trade as well--maybe Chicago's 2009 1st and draft a guy like Terrence Williams or Eric Maynor.

Bulls say no way!!! They wouldnt trade Thomas for Boozer. Jazz do this trade in a second but likely let Millsap leave and start Thomas. Millsap money goes to Gordon. Jazz cannot afford AK-47, Dwill and add 3 other large contracts. Maybe 2 is the max they would add. I think we pretty much all agree we want Memo to stay. So it is either Millsap, Boozer, or another player (ie gordon). That also means Thomas would not stay long either. Money spent on Ak-47 has been a big black money pit and then Jazz dont use him correctly on top of that. So Yes, to trade but if done Millsap is gone.

Bulls would say yes. Noah is the same type of energy guy as thomas..and there weakness is low post scoring. Boozer solves that problem.

Wasn't the reason Gordon didn't get an extension is b/c he wanted more than 10M?

I like it. A Millsap-Thomas rotation works for me and Ben Gordan helps replace the offense we lose with Boozer gone.

Well, the logjam for Chicago seems to be having both Deng and Salmons. I think Chicago would like to move Deng. If healthy, I think Deng would be a classic Jazz SF. Maybe something like Boozer and Miles for Deng and Thomas would be possible.

No im pretty sure they want to keep Deng. Hes still only 24 and getting better. Chances of them trading him are slim. Salmons could easily be used at sg.

Most fans seem to be willing to part with him for just expiring contracts. He's been extending himself too much with his international commitments and paid the price with injuries. This last season was quite a disappointment.

This may be the first off season that he might not play for GB though, so he may bounce back.

Last season the bulls offered 6/54, which the Bulls pulled when he was willing to sign at the very last moment (over 2 months it was on the table). It's doubtful in this market that he will get a similar offer, but stranger things have happened.
