suprised nobody has posted a topic about this yet. apparently GSW want AK. maybe throw in their lottery pick too. how would it work? who would the jazz receive in return? anybody else from the jazz included besides ak?

personally, i am a little intrigued at the potential for this to happen. maybe more excited for a lottery pick. but i love ak. i would love to see him flourish on my team. but if not that, flourish on another team or keep him on my team?

I'd still love to see Maggette in a Jazz uniform...but they'd probably want us to take on Crawford's contract as well.

Only way GSW takes on AK-47 contract must include Crawford and maggette then fillers are included. I dont like this type of deal BUT I have to admit I can no longer stand AK-47's career going down the drain because of Sloan. For his well being, I hope he goes if Sloan stays.

GSW gets Ak-47, Miles
Utah gets Crawford, Maggette, Belini

I DO NOT do this trade but it is the type of trade going to be done if one done between these teams. We should trade Sloan for Don Nelson then see Ak-47 and Jazz become title contenders.

How about if we did an AK / Miles / #20 for Maggette / Crawford #9? And then we find a taker for Crawford and the #9 on draft night in a three way trade or something that nets us Kaman or Camby? We then would have a proven scorer @ the 3 and a defensive presence down low - we could afford to lose Boozer and his salary without too much of a dropoff..

How about Harpring and Miles for Maggette?

^ We have to get rid of AK. At this point he gives close to nothing and is just an albatross of a contract that is going to hurt us this summer and future summers. Splitting his contracts between two players gives a lot more options tradewise anyway.

With Maggette and Crawford atleast we would be getting a lot more production out of him.

AK for Maggette and Turiaf also works straight up plus we would be saving a little bit of money for Booze/Millsap.

If I'm not mistaken AK straight across for Maggs and Crawford works without fillers. Now, if you are adding fillers to balance it out one way or the other thats understandable.

I think it would only be fair for AK to be shipped somewhere like GS or New York. I think AK would do great in D'Antoni's system. In Sloan's system AK is just not efective with the pieces that are in place now. It would be awesome to work a deal to get rid of AK and Boozer and get Kaman in return (obviously not all in one trade, but over the course of the summer)

I'd take any combination of Maggette, Crawford and Turiaf for AK and his bloated contract. AK was once my favorite player and I think it's a tragedy that has career has sunk to the level that it has, but it's time for both parties to move on. Golden State's pretty much the perfect trading partner. Nelson's system would give AK a great opportunity to return to an all-star or near all-star level and they've got several desirable chips to send our way. We could really use another perimeter scorer to take off some of the immense pressure on Deron and both Maggette and Crawford fill that bill. Ideally, we'd be able to get one of those guys and Turiaf, who would give us length, athleticism, energy, toughness and shotblocking, all of which are things we desperately need, up front, but I'd be fine with the two scorers as well.
In a dream world, we'd be able to get Monta Ellis, but I think he and the Warriors have patched things up and he's their franchise player, so it's probably unlikely.

I would never do a trade involving Crawford unless he decides to actually pass the ball. Turiaf, Maggette, and whats his bucket...crazy young kid that killed us in the last meeting of the season...those are the only guys I would be interested in.

The article says nothing about GSW having interest. It says nothing about them throwing in their lotto pick. Its pure conjecture. Im sure there might be interest, but its speculative at this point. The only two trades I would consider from GSW are:

AK for Maggs and Turiaf...maybe add our 1st or 2nd round pick.

AK for Maggs, Wright and Azubuike and we throw in our 1st round pick.

P.S. Why does everyone like Samuel Dalambret? He is overrated and garbage. If you hate the production you get from AK wait to Dalambret is here.

P.S.S. The shot blocking big man is the most overrated stat in basketball. Get me a guy with length that plays good man and team D and cleans the boards anyday over Camby.

I don't ever want Dalembert on this team. The only thing he is good for is the receiving end of a Howard elbow to get him kicked out of a game. He is very overrated and extremely overpaid, something we have no room for on this team.

As for Maggette, I think he may fit in well in this system. Crawford may as well. The GSW don't have a great PG leading the team and setting them up for good looks. They also don't use the P&R at all either. They would spread the floor and give us something we have been lacking for some time, a 2 with accurate range.

All the benefits seem to be offensive though, I think our defense gets worse with any trade involving AK. If only we could get Boozer and Okur to play a LITTLE bit more defense, we would be set with a lineup like that.

I couldn't agree more. I think the Jazz are too smart to pick up a guy that shoots such a poor percentage.

Jazz get: Maggette and Beidrins (Beidrins ft% stinks, that could be a deal breaker)

GS: AK and CJ or Harpring would work for the Jazz and give them some cap space.

I think it would take more than that to get Biendrins. They already have young swingmen (Azubuike and Belinellie), so I don't see why they would want Miles. I think we would have to at least include Koufos.

Everything from GS indicates they would part with Maggette if it meant we take the Crawford deal off their hands (their biggest desire). They aren't looking to blow their team up and trade all their cheap and/or promsing young players.
