I wish he was 20lbs heavier. I hope he bulks up a bit in the offseason.

Hopefully he'll get stronger, but I don't think weight/strength is as big of an issue with a PG as it is with other positions.

meh 164 is good for 10 minutes a game if that. I think he'll be #3 after we resign price

Hopefully Maynor gives price a battle for the #2. Too bad there is no RMR this year.

Does Price know how to run the pick'n'roll?

You got a great prospect in Eric "Duke Killer" Maynor.

The thing is, the Jazz is not really the right place for him in some sense. With Sloan's tuteledge I think he could really blossom if he gets playing time.

I just dont see him getting much court time for the foreseable future.

I was very impressed after hearing him on the radio soon after we drafted him. Gave some good answers to the questions and sounds very confident and truly excited at the opportunity he will have here in Utah to play under Williams.

"I'm a winner"
"I make things easier for other people on the court"

God, I wish there was an RMR this year. Maynor and Price will be a sick backup if Price plays like he's capable (aka the last minutes of game 5 in LA)

I think the other summer league games will at least be televised. I'll miss the RMR, too, but we should be able to at least see something.

I can say one thing - his Twitter is boring!!!!!! I don't see a place for a guy. How in hell Jerry will explain him how we're playing pick'n'roll...

SL Trib wrote:The Jazz scouted six of Maynor's games his senior season, general manager Kevin O'Connor said. Wednesday's interview, might have made the difference, though, when Maynor offered advanced answers in a Pick-and-Roll 101 quiz.

I think you are underestimating that right next to Rubio this kid probably has the best B-Ball IQ in the draft. That's why everyone is talking about him as a true PG or a pure PG. He understands the game, he'll get what the Jazz are trying to do just like Deron did.

Deseret News wrote:In need of more consistency behind Deron Williams in the point guard position, the franchise's front office is as impressed with Maynor's hoops knowledge, including of the pick-and-roll, as they are with his play

LOL at both papers addressing what you were worried about in today's papers.

Ive watched this kid Maynor for a while now. Being a GMU alumn, this guy has been killing the CAA. But that being said, the CAA is pretty weak. This kid can pass and shoot and is very quick. I hope he can make it in the NBA.
