Price in demand!

76ers are considering signing Ronnie Price if they lose Ander Miller in essence going with Ronnie Price and Holiday as their PG.
If he is gone, I look for Jazz to sign Jaque Vaughn. Id rather have Ronnie Price by far.

Is there anyone on our team that doesn't interest other teams? Starting to look like were going to lose everyone haha. If Miller leaves the 76ers then Price is gone, no way he stays here when he could be getting more pt and probably more money up in Philly.

Buying another first round pick would have been nice right about now (Dejuan Blair).

Jazz players are usually in demand somewhere because they've been well coached and know how to help a team. If we lose Price, do we keep Knight?

We better not!

I think if we lose Price we shouldnt sign another backup PG. This would be a perfect time for AK to step in and run the offense and earn more playing time along with letting Maynor develop. I have a good feeling about Maynor...

Bad idea.. Very bad idea. We've seen him run the team, and thankfully it worked for us, but I'd much rather have a true point guard running a point guard oriented team.

I totally agree with you but the Dictator Sloan always needs 3 point guards on roster.

So who exactly are you going to pick up that's going to do better then Knight or Price for reasonable money? You either spend the money to keep Price (if the 76ers offer) or you gamble on AK and Maynor. If Price wants to stay and we can keep him for a reasonable amount then I would love to do that but I don't want to bring Knight or Knight clone back and waste money. I rather gamble on AK and Maynor.

Unfortunately AK's "belt-high dribble" is a chest-high dribble to opposing point-guards. Not a good idea.
It's an interesting glimpse into Sloan's psyche that the best praise he could give Maynor was that he could step in behind Deron and the team's unsigned 3rd-string point guard from last year. I really wonder what the Jazz's plans were for Price before Sloan said that, because they sure gave no indication whatsoever that they were that interested in Price.

I think we could survive with Brewer/AK running a few plays to give Deron some rest. Stick Maynor in for a few plays to bring the ball up the floor if your worried about it. I don't want another Knight that's all I know. I wouldn't mind seeing Sloan give a rookie some PT in a small role for once in his career this year. He showed signs of change with how much he played Kosta maybe the old crusty is warming up to the younglings Gran Torino style.

CJ Miles said that he was told and has been practicing his pg skills over the summer. Personally I would rather have Ak, Brewer, and then Miles fill in but Miles has done it in very limited minutes.

I'm no CJ Miles fan, but I think I'd rather see him at PG than Brewer or AK.

Yes, why didn't we do that?

Simple. The Jazz think Suton is a better prospect. I tend to agree; I think Mills is very overrated.
Besides, I don't think the Jazz would carry two rookie point guards.

The won't need Price if they can pull off a trade for another guard. Like Hinrich, for instance.

i like the idea of miles playing some backup point. Maybe would let him use his ISo game a lil more coming off that pick and creating fro himself if not, what about a guy like anthony carter? Or perhaps bug eyed Shannon brown?

Yeah, can I get a quick scouting report on Ronnie Price.
Strengths and weaknesses perhaps?
Thanks in advance.
