Collins anyone?

I'm actually amazed no team is going after Collins yet. Two or three years ago he was a top five center on the signing market. Now nothing. Anyone heard anything about him?
I would think he would see the writing on the wall and in order to have a job would be willing to lower his veteran pay to play somewhere. He is good talent just not for his veteran pay right now in this economy.

Uh, he wasn't top 5 unless there were only 7 centers with more than 50 games of experience out there. He will be looking for vets minimum, and may get it from the Jazz.

I wouldn't give him minimum. We need to play our youngs, finally. Suton is also going to be there. So thanks, but no, thanks.

I like collins..good player..never got into trouble..knows how to take a charge..Good quality center..
I wouldn't mind him coming back as a 3rd center especially since he can play some D against the larger centers in the league...but he would have to sign for mins...he's probably an extreme low priority right now as far as negotiations with milsap and trade rumors.
in case something happens goofy with a trade that makes us smaller at depth i'd bring him back but right now I think it's Rookies time to get a chance and show something. Especially since Fesenko is now officially in a roster spot (no more D league for him) so it's either bring in Kosta..or Collins sending Kosta to the D-league to back up Memo.

I don't really have a "problem" with Collins. He's never tried to be more than he is, h ealways work amd actually made his contributions. He certainly can help a team.
However, I agree Jazz really must play Fesenko, Koufos consistent rotation minutes (and may be even Suton some garbage time this year)...
