Golden State/Utah trade ideas

I think this is interesting for both teams:

Utah trades:
Boozer

Golden State trades:
Maggette
Brandon Wright
Kelenna Azubuike

OR:

Utah Trades:
Boozer + One of your centers... Fesenko?

Golden State trade:
Maggette
Turiaf

I used to hate the idea of Maggette, but I'm warming to it. Adding Turiaf or Brandon Wright would be nice.

i'd rather have a natural scoring shooting guard who can consistently put up 18-25 points a night and still play solid permieter defense, such as Richard Hamilton. I think that would be a great pickup. If we could exercise that trade and resign Paul Millsap, then we could be true contenders come playoff time, if we are healthy.

I like the trade I just dont know what we would do with so many stinking 2's and 3's.

I think Maggette is a better option than Hamilton at this point. He is a year younger, shoots a higher percentage, gets to the line more often, and gets paid less. That's a lot of pluses for Magette. A Boozer or Kirilenko deal with the Warriors that nets Magette and other workable pieces would seem like good judgement on the Jazz part.

Hmmm...I dont know why everyone wants to trade Boozer especially when we never get an inside scorer in return.

Here is my best trade involving Golden State:

Utah
Out: AK47 (16.45), $3M Cash to Memphis
In: Azubuike (3.1), K.Thomas (3.8), Bowen (4.1)
Salary: 11.3-16.45 = -5.15

We save $7.3M ($5.15 in salary, x2 luxury tax is $10.3 - $3 cash = $7.3M)
Add defensive presence in KT to frontcourt (who I have always wanted), Azubu for 2 yrs (3.4 next year) and Bowen. Free $14M from next years payroll plus minimise lux tax so we can keep both Boozer and Millsap.

Williams, Maynor, Price (UFA)
Brewer, Korver
Miles, Azubu, Bowen
Boozer, Millsap (RFA)
Okur, Thomas, Fesenko, Koufos

Memphis:
Out: Option to swap 2 rd picks
In: $3M Cash, Elson (1.7), Davidson (0.8)
Salary: 2.5-0.0 = +2.5
Add two cheap contracts and make $0.5 in the process.

Golden State:
Out: Claxton (5.2), Turiaf (4.1), Azubuike (3.1), Davidson (0.8)
In: AK47 (16.45)
Salary: 16.45-13.2 = + 3.25
Bascially move: Turiaf & Azubu for AK.

Ellis, Law
Jackson, Curry, Morrow
Maggette, Belinelli
Kirilenko, Wright, Randolph
Biedrins

Milwaukee:
Out: Bowen (4.1), Thomas (3.8), Elson (1.7)
In: Turiaf (4.1), Claxton (5.2)
Salary: 9.3-9.6= -0.3
Non contending team move vets for young forward and backup PG for 1yr.

Have to wiat until August though as Bowen & Thomas cant be traded with other palyers for 2 months.

That's it.

I think any trade with the Jazz would probably have Mags included, Speedy ( contract ) a choice of young players like Azu, Bwright, Cj watson. in return for Boozer and fillers. Basically anyone of the following will work even if you include Turiaf to the deal in case you want a big back in return.

how about something like this..

Marco Belinelli
6-6 SG from Italy
8.4 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 2.0 apg in 20.0 minutes
Brandan Wright
6-10 PF from North Carolina
8.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 17.2 minutes
Corey Maggette
6-6 SF from Duke
18.3 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.8 apg in 30.5 minutes
Speedy Claxton
5-11 PG from Hofstra
1.7 ppg, 0.0 rpg, 1.0 apg in 5.0 minutes
Outgoing Players
Ronnie Brewer
6-7 SG from Arkansas
13.7 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.2 apg in 32.2 minutes
Carlos Boozer
6-8 PF from Duke
16.2 ppg, 10.4 rpg, 2.1 apg in 32.3 minutes

or

Incoming Players
Ronny Turiaf
6-9 C from Gonzaga
6.0 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.1 apg in 21.5 minutes
Kelenna Azubuike
6-5 SG from Kentucky
14.4 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.6 apg in 32.1 minutes
Speedy Claxton
5-11 PG from Hofstra
1.7 ppg, 0.0 rpg, 1.0 apg in 5.0 minutes
Corey Maggette
6-6 SF from Duke
18.3 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.8 apg in 30.5 minutes
Outgoing Players
Ronnie Brewer
6-7 SG from Arkansas
13.7 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.2 apg in 32.2 minutes
Kyle Korver
6-6 SF from Creighton
9.0 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1.8 apg in 24.0 minutes
Carlos Boozer
6-8 PF from Duke
16.2 ppg, 10.4 rpg, 2.1 apg in 32.3 minutes

Maggette/Turiaf/Azubuike for Boozer/Hapring would be a sweet deal for Utah and it saves them 7 million in cash next year. If Golden State is hesitant to throw in Azubuike I would take Wright instead. Not really sure who has the most value, but I like both of them. If we could pry Anthony Morrow (47% 3FG) away from them somehow that would be nice too.

I doubt they would be hesitent.. we have a GLUTTON of guards.
These are the starters that I doubt would be traded.
Ellis (startingG)
Jax(startingSG)
AR (StartingF)
Beans (Starting C )

Kelenna Azubuike F-G 6-5 220 12/16/1983 Kentucky 3 ( I doubt GSW would be hesistant to add him)
18 Marco Belinelli G 6-5 200 03/25/1986 Italy 2 ( He was proposed to be added in the amare trade)
15 Andris Biedrins C 6-11 240 04/02/1986 Latvia 5
Speedy Claxton G 5-11 170 05/08/1978 Hofstra 6 (Might retire/injuries, contract good for trade)
Stephen Curry G 6-3 185 03/14/1988 Davidson R (rookie won't be traded)
33 Jermareo Davidson F 6-10 230 11/17/1984 Alabama 2
8 Monta Ellis G 6-3 180 10/26/1985 Lanier HS (Jackson, MS) 4 (starting G)
1 Stephen Jackson F-G 6-8 215 04/05/1978 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA) 9 (startingG)
31 Rob Kurz (FA) F 6-9 232 03/05/1985 Notre Dame 1
Acie Law G 6-3 202 01/25/1985 Texas A&M 1 (Can be added in the trade )
50 Corey Maggette F 6-6 225 11/12/1979 Duke 10 (Can be added to the trade , good 6th man for GSW)
22 Anthony Morrow G 6-5 210 09/27/1985 Georgia Tech 1 (Can be added, but will hurt GSW)
4 Anthony Randolph F 6-10 210 07/15/1989 Louisiana State 1 (Starter)
21 Ronny Turiaf C-F 6-10 250 01/13/1983 Gonzaga 4 (Good back up C, will hurt if traded )
23 C.J. Watson (FA) G 6-2 175 04/17/1984 Tennessee 2 (Can be traded)
32 Brandan Wright (unproven big,can be traded )

I would love to get Harpring as well ( good defender, knows his role, antagonizer )

Harpring may be done due to his bad ankle. So he would just be cash savings if he retires as is being speculated.

I think a trade to Warriors doesn't work out really well--the reason for moving Boozer would be for cap relief which they don't get reasonable amounts of in a swap.

How about Pietrus?

He is more like 15-20 points, but he is does play good d and is still young.

GS trades Maggette and Turiaf for Boozer
Orlando trades Pietrus for Maggette and Turiaf
Utah trades Boozer for Pietrus

GS upgrades the 4, Orl gets a backup C, Utah gets a 2 way sg and saves money.

I'd hit that... Love Turiaf, but if helps getting boozer, ridding the log jam as guard. I'm totally down if the warriors actually pulled that off.
