Jazz trying to trade Boozer asap!

Jazz supposedly trying to try trade Boozer today, probably so they know where they stand money wise to match Millsap offer soon to be made by Blazers. Bulls deny any Boozer trade talks, but another source says Bulls want Bayless in trade from Portland otherwise no deal or they be willing to trade Tim Thomas to Jazz instead of Tyrus which Jazz wouldnt do.

Thanks for the info! Keeping my fingers crossed for Hamilton or Okafor.
Tim Thomas for Carlos Boozer? Are the Bulls out of their f'ing minds? Screw them if this is true.

The Memphis Grizzlies (or at least me) would welcome Carlos Boozer with open arms and an insane amount of BBQ.
They could take Boozer off the Jazz's hands for nothing (if the Grizzlies nix the Zach Randolph-Quentin Richardson deal), giving the Jazz the ability to match Millsap's offer sheet.

would Utah accept Jermaine Oneal's HUGE expiring contract for Boozer and AK47's bloated contract?
or is Utah forced to deal Boozer to a team capable of assorbing his salary without sending anything back in return?

Portland won't send Bayless in return for Hinrich. The pressure is on the Jazz now, because Portland would love to have Millsap as a backup, and a future trading piece.
I doubt the Jazz would trade Boozer for another contract, even if it's expiring. One of the main purposes in trying to unload his contract would be to avoid having to pay a massive amount of luxury tax this season(if they matched the offer for Millsap).
Who has cap space anymore, Portland, Oklahoma City and Memphis are the only ones I know of. Oklahoma City doesn't seem to be interested in adding any more to their payroll, and Memphis just got Zach Randolph and they are another team in financial difficulty.

Good grief I hope the Grizz wise up and try to get in on this. They can flat out make it happen.
*crosses fingers* and prays for no Z'Bo...

Trade checker has Q on the team. Boozer for Gasol! It works! Hell, even with z-Bo for Q Z-Bo and Booz can play C.

If the right pieces were there, I'd do it. I keep saying that pick is worth more now than it's likely to be next summer. (...I'd be more than happy to eat these words next year at this time if it does work out)

IN A MOTHAFOCKING HEARTBEAT! Sorry, but yeah, we'd have to be dumb not too. Imagine Okur/J.Oneal/Millsap front court for even just a year.

The 3 players couldn't play together and I don't think Jermaine O'neal is that good a player. However, it might be wise to get rid of AK47's contract if it can be done this way.

Well isn't the Bulls deal including Jerome James the only one that brings instant cap space?

Id like to see a Carlos Boozer and AK-47 for Tracy McGrady and Brent Barry.

An option I haven't heard: Utah and Portland do a direct trade of Boozer to Portland. No other teams involved.
[As a Blazers fan, with friends who know people connected to the organization, I can confidently say that Batum and Rudy are the two least likely traded guys not named Roy, Aldridge, and Oden. Bayless is just after that.]
Any trade, therefore, from the Blazers side would more likely involve players like Outlaw and Webster. Would either of these two (along with additional compensation) get it done from the Jazz side of it? [No insult intended if it is taken this way.] Obviously, Boozer is worth more than either one of them. Together, the reduction of tax isn't optimal.
[The Blazers could make additional room via Euro renouncing. The Blazers would likely then flip Boozer themselves. It is obvious, as well, that the Jazz could simply match Millsap and wait for a better offer.]

No. We wont be getting anything good enough to ship out the 2010 pick in the deal. Unless we bring back an all star caliber player there is no way the Jazz are sending the pick anywhere. (at least that is what I am hoping)
