Irrespective of whether Jazz match or dont match Millsap contract, Boozer is gone according to ESPN. The espn writer says Jazz and Boozer have mutually agreed to part ways. Thank god get rid of the loozer!!.
Believe me guys AK-47 can play PF!! Sloan just need to be innovative defensely depending on matches that bets fit for AK-47 and Memo.

The Jazz are way too conservative. They will check around at various offers and in the end they will decide to play it safe by letting Boozer play out next year.

It's one thing to agree to part ways and another to get a good value in return.

No, Ak can't play PF a whole game. You're nuts.

A whole game yes....a whole season? that may be a different story...as much as I like Sap I hope the Jazz don't move Booze simply to match his ridiculous offer....Sap is not the answer as a full time starter at PF either IMHO...

I really like Millsap, but that kind of money? I must say I would let him walk.

I hope not. Why would we tell him 'see ya' when he's got one more year with us if we don't trade him? That's awful discouraging, contract year or not.

Chris Boussard broke the story and offered that this is how it went down. The Jazz made contact with Boozer and informed him that they had no plans to offer him a long term deal beyond this season and were looking to trade him. Boozer told them if that was their position, they should get it done asap. He's as good as gone!!.............They've crapped in their own nest!!

from poster SA37 on the Miami board:
Jazz get: U. Haslem, D.Wright, Y. Diawara, and the $4.5 million TPE
Heat get: C. Boozer and CJ Miles.
This saves the Jazz about $5.5 million in salary this year (they are about $4.1 million under the luxury tax right now). So that should be enough to allow them to match Millsap's offer and stay under the tax.
Jazz get: M. Blount, D. Cook, either Y. Diawara or C. Quinn, Miami's 2010 1st rd. pick, and the TPE
Heat get: C. Boozer and CJ Miles
This version of the deal would save the Jazz $6.1 million in salary this year and put them about $10.2 million under the tax also allowing them to match Millsap's deal and stay under the tax.
do you think Utah would consider this? it seems realistic if Utah cant get a team to cooperate that enough cap space to assorb Boozer's contract without sending any salary back to the Jazz in return.

I'll go for that. We need role players like those guys. What are the contracts like?

And I think it's ok for the Jazz to be honest with their players. The players and agents understand the business. Getting blindsided doesn't help either side out, and Boozer will still understand this is a contract year if nothing works out. The reputation of honesty probably helps out in the long run however.

Just get a **** deal done. Then I will be happy or complain about it later. It's just getting tiring to keep up with it all, and have a prego wife.

LOL @ Cougarfan. I''ve been watching my daughter ALL day on a couple of hours of sleep while her Mom is at work, but that would be no excuse to put down other people. Sorry, but after what I've been through the last year since my GF got pregnant I don't care to hear anybody else's sob stories.

Oh. Well, sorry to hear about that. I was just saying I think fans of BYU are lame cause I don't like them and stuff. Hope your family is doing better.
Anyways, I think the Jazz have plenty of options that just involve Boozer alone, as I don't really want to move CJ which many people do. I would like to see a draft pick and a player along the lines of Tyrus Thomas. Someone with one year to prove their worth and then get the bird benefits when choosing to move forward.
The Jazz did good with out Boozer, and the thing is, what the needed during that stretch wasn't Boozer but an adequate rest for Millsap. Millsap will get his wind as a full time NBA starter. Plus the Jazz do count on one thing... Next year's draft is PF and C loaded. Even at 8 or 9 a nice replacement may be had.

Oh, now I see the edit... did he make fun of me?!?!

It's ok, I insulted him far worse than any man could possible be asked to endure.
