Cleveland Trades
-Ilgauskas
-JJ Hickson
-2010 1st round pick
-2012 1st round pick (lottery protected)
-$3 million cash
Cleveland Gets
-Carlos Boozer
Utah Trades
-Carlos Boozer
Utah Gets
-JJ Hickson
-2010 2nd round pick from Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City Trades
-2010 2nd round pick
Oklahoma City Gets
-Ilgauskas
-2010 1st round pick from Cleveland
-2012 lottery protected 1st from Cleveland
-$3 million
OKC then buys Z out and he returns to Cleveland. Cleveland essentially rents OKC's cap-space for a year at the cost of $3 million and 2 future 1st round picks. Danny Ferry and Presti are good friends as well so it makes it more likely that OKC does Cleveland a favor.
Utah gets pure cap-space so they can re-sign Milsap and they get a young/talented PF to replace Milsap's numbers off the bench.
Cleveland does this because it just about locks LeBron up and makes Cleveland the favorite to win the 2010 NBA Finals.
