Haslem Or Thomas

Which Player Would you guys want.?
“Im in love with his game He plays hard, he’s quick, athletic.Watching him helps me out. He’s a quiet guy like me, so we kind of clicked. He’s a great player. He’s the point guard of the future and I love the way he plays the game.”

Thomas and that rookie you just drafted James, but if we can get Haslem with Beasely we go that route.

Haslem is more proven, and his style would fit in very well with what the Jazz are trying to do.

Thomas shows good potential, and is a legit shot blocker down low. But who knows if he will ever get anywhere near his ceiling.

Right now Haslem is the better player.

Thomas. More upside and I like the idea of an AK/Thomas combo.

Not close!!!

Thomas > Haslem

Thomas > Beasely

Only thing I dont understand is why Bulls want to trade him? He showed signs last year such that this could be a breakout year for him in 2009-2010. Id say take Thomas save the money by not matching Millsap and live with Thomas, AK-47, and Memo as your front court. Jazz improve defensively and have more shot blocking to protect basket. Haslem is the safe pick because he doesnt cause waves and be solid backup to Millsap and AK-47 but hes not a difference maker like Thomas can be.

Thomas is insanely inconsistent, has almost no offensive game to speak off, and is a bit of a loon it seems.

Oh, and Beasley is so much better then Thomas it isn't close.

I would take Thomas over Haslem. If Odom goes back to LA it gives us someone that can guard Odom and the combo 3/4.

Thomas.

Honestly, if I were KOC . . . I would NOT match Millsaps contract and leave Portland with 10 Mill a year backup. I would than trade Boozer to Chicago for Hinrich and Thomas straight across. I would than sign Big Baby for the MLE.

Big Baby/Thomas are BFFs right? THat would make the Utah transition easier.

If it was that easy I would to.

I would absolutely love for this to happen. Too bad the Jazz front office isnt smart enough to pull something like this off.

Neither straight up for Boozer. In a trade involving Thomas, I want Chicago to include Salmons or Hinrich. If Miami wants Boozer, then they should include Beasley. Beasley is the only player on Miami that interests me. All of their players, except Wade and Beasley, are garbage.

I like Haslem's game alot, but I LOVE Thomas' age, upside, and shot-blocking ability. I'd be fine with any of the above described scenarios.

Myke (Salt Lake City)

Can the Jazz get Beasley from Miami in a Boozer deal?

John Hollinger (3:38 PM)

I highly doubt it. Boozer is a one-year rental for Miami, they're going to have a ton of cap psace in the summer and there's no reason to extend Boozer at his ridiculous asking price when the pickings are so much better after the season.

Okay Tyrus is going to be looking for a contract next year a RFA, who much do you pay him? Well you almost have to play him more than Millsap unless you are sure Millsap will be the starter. It just isn't that great of a situation.

If its just Thomas or Haslem, then no question, I go with Thomas. Haslem isn't going to beat out Millsap, nor is he going to give us much of anything different than 'Sap. Thomas has the potential to be much better than 'Sap and he already brings some things to the table that 'Sap doesn't (length, shotblocking) which makes him a nice change of pace.

Tyrus isn't exactly in line for a huge payday. I am guessing Mid-level money for 4 or 5 years.

Thomas, he's younger and a shot blocker. Haslem isn't a bad player either. Honestly neither player is worth getting excited for.

Thomas is better than Haslem. And he's younger. He's got more upside and is more athletic. Thomas is a first round fourth over all pick. And he's developed an 18 foot jumper. I think the more you play him the more you'll see his upside. I'd pick Thomas over Haslem. But If I were Boozer, of course, I'd probablly pick Miami over CHicago since Dwayne Wade is there and Odom might go there and they
re talking about offering extensions. But, if I were the Jazz, I would probably pick the Bulls.
