Seriously...that would have been disasterous. Makes you wonder what inside information front offices were aware of to have moved away from that rumored Miami deal that everyone was bashing KOC for not taking.

I hope miami enjoys their "future PF". The guy is gonna burn out for sure. His picture alone looks like one of those faces of meth pics to me... If the heat don't get their stuff figured out, Wade is gonna bolt and it will be another bottom feeder in the east...

I have never been a fan of beasily's game and this is just another reason the Jazz are lucky he didnt get traded for the Loozer. Makes a Boozer for Haslem trade more likely as Heat need the additional scoring that Boozer can provide them. Haslem does little for the Jazz for the one year he has left on his contract, and only benefit benefit would be getting rid of the Loozer.

Heres a question?? Haslem, dorrell wright, and Beasily (aka the druggy) plus future #1 for Boozer and Miles.

That would be a gamble on Beasily but does save alot of money on the cap this year plus gets rid of Miles long term contract for wright's expiring contract plus future #1

It sounds to me like he came forward with some substance abuse issues and is taking the option offered by the NBA's CBA of rehabilitation rather than suspension.

I hope the kid's ok and gets his **** together.

Now it sounds like he was already in the NBA's drug rehab program and this is, in fact, for depression.

Now I don't think there is anything Miami has that would make a trade worth it for me. Looks like Boozer is screwed if he wants to go to Miami.

Hope you enjoy that Boozer/Beasley pairing. Something will have to make up for Wade's departure.

I don't think this deal was ever close to being done because I'm sure the Jazz staff knew Beasley was trouble. Gotta love the Jazz front office.

I'm beginning to feel a bit more sympathy for the guy. Perhaps being on a close knit team full of young guys may help him. I don't think he is the type of guy who would rub off on others. Everyone knows he has personal issues so if he slacks off or spouts off he won't have the ability or respect to be a cancer. Not saying it should or would have or anything, but I am not ready to write him off as Eddie Griffin yet.

Honestly guys i think it makes it a more probable situation. it lowers beasleys trade value, and what better place to stay sober than right here in good ol SLC. sure there are plenty of drugs/alcohol to find, but there is also plenty of help in this area too.

I still think Beasley has all the chance in the world to be a great player. Just got to get his ish together

Still a great talent, i hope for him, as a player ad as a man, non definitely wasted.

Now a trade with Miami is more prossible.

This is a bit late, but trading for Boozer now gives Miami the ability to re-sign him next year and go over the cap to do so. So there's a VERY significant difference between getting him now and signing him as an UFA next year, especially if the cap goes down again.
