The Jazz obviously like Pavlovic because they drafted him. If Harpring retires do you all think Pavlovic could fill the SF role for the Jazz?

Meh, interesting pick up since he could give us some outside shooting but we don't need anymore players to jam up our SF position.

Dupree will make the team if Harpring calls it a career.

Would he take the league minimum?

Dupree is on the Flash so he would take the minimum in a heart beat. Pavolvic I would be very surprised if would take the minimum. Our other options are FA like Paul Harris or Wesley Mathews.

...or another open roster spot. i dont think KOC likes having a full roster especially at the beginning of the season. im sure dupree only got invited to provide some competition, because there is always the possibility. but i highly doubt the jazz would bring in a free agent otherwise.

It sounds like KOC and Jazz management have had their eye on Dupree for sometime so Harpring leaves then it is his spot to lose. Jazz are full of ok wing players but none of them have star potential, AK-47 is a PF not a wing player. Jazz miss use him.

Jazz won't start the season with 15 players because they need flexibility for a probable Boozer trade.
Even if Harp finally calls it a career, the Jazz already have capable wings in Brewer, Korver, Kirilenko and Miles. I like Pavlovic, and probably so the Jazz, but I don't think they would spend more money at the 2-3 spots right now. It appears Dupree has been in Utah radar for some time and they know his game since he was on the Flash, so the guy probably will be an adequate option as the last wing on the roster.

Jazz almost never carry 15. They've been caught in a position where they've needed to the last year or so. If Harp leaves, we will be leaving that spot open, unless the perfect player comes along. The Jazz will be looking to save wherever possible, and not paying an extra scrub his 700k for sitting on the bench is a good way to do it.
