An industrial size barrel of acne cream I think...

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Wow...no way to know. Obviously we aren't looking to deal him, so we'd have to get an offer that we felt we couldn't pass up in order to do it. I don't think a deal would be possible, really. I'd say that right now we would certainly let him loose for, say, the 10th pick in the draft. We'd consider it for the 14th pick and anything less than that we'd refuse. But the problem with trading 1st rounders is that no one knows how much they'll be worth when they're dealt, so it becomes a risk/reward proposition. The Bulls will almost certainly make the playoffs this year, so merely a future 1st would certainly not do it. However, a pick like the one that OKC has from Phoenix, one that could potentially land in the top 10, but also has a chance to fall in the 20s, would probably suffice.
It's just too hard to match value for value in NBA trades. I would go for a deal that sent Koufos over to you guys along with a future 1st in return for, say, Noah. But you guys would almost certainly turn that one down. I can't think of a package that both teams would be interested in....though a deal I'd love to see is Millsap and Koufos in exchange for Noah and either Hinrich or Salmons. I don't think that happens, though.

He isn't playing great but I see no deal that improves the team (that Chicago would go for).

Noah is a starter he came along in the back half of last season and was a 10 and 13 guy in the Celtcis series and was a genuine factor.
Kosta has promise but he's a 10 to 15 mpg back up right now trying to find his way in the pros with not guarantee that he will. I think he will as I like the look of him - but that's beside the point.
In terms of productivity and role I think Kosta's market is Aaron Gray right now - and they match from a salary point of view as well without having to add other players.
Gray could be a guy that Sloan values to play in behind your front court rotation of Okur, Boozer and Millsap as the 4th big ..and is a genuine post big.
Yes...Kosta has more upside , and , I would be prepared to augment the trade with tossing in our 2010 1st round pick ( lottery protected ).
So..immediate production /role/salary match with Aaron Gray ..+ the upside of a 1st round pick between say 15 to 20 which is where we are likely to be .
Thoughts ?

Yeah, this is my point. At this point Kosta is what he is, a project. He has shown flashes and looks ready to be a 10 mpg rotation guy already. Who knows if he ever becomes a starter, let alone a star. At points last season, I felt that the guy had a real shot at becoming a genuine dominant big guy. If that were going to happen, though, he would have had to have made a big leap between last year and this to get there. That hasn't happened, though he has certainly improved.
But a mid-to-late 1st rounder and a 4th big man who is, at best, a rich man's Jarron Collins is not equal to the promise that Kosta might someday deliver on. Like I said, there's not a real likely swap here, because Utah is happy with Koufos and wants him on the team. That means if you want to pry him loose, you have to overpay. Not a likely deal here.

I'd give it some thoughts if the Bulls were williing to talk 11th or 12th 2010 draft pick plus Gibson plus other considerations...
If I had to think in terms of a Gray package... well... probably Gray + 2010 mid lottery pick + other considerations, because Gray, upside wise, is not going anywhere up he is right now; the Bulls would have to compensate that, along with the risk of Kosta becoming an average NBA starting center for a playoff team (which he most probably could be in a couple years) plus the investement Utah already did in Koufos...
Anyway, as erudite said, I don't think Utah is willing to shop Koufos right now.

What about now if the Jazz don't pick up his option ?
IMO that puts his market at Aaron Gray in a direct one on one swap

Rose seems about fair value, and MJ admitting he pushed off.

You can go ahead and forget about that idea.
Jazz will pick up Koufos option with out the slightest hesitation.
