I find it interesting how every team wants Kosta and yet most Jazz fans think he is garbage.

I am still holding the policy of saying no to anything that involves AK. Switch in Boozer and I would do the deal in heart beat.

Hamilton is signed to a pretty bad extention...... Seriously, who wants to pay RIP #14 million when he's 34?

At that point he is an expiring contract. But I gotta pass. This isn't the worst trade presented here but AK is on my good side this week.

I don't see Detroit doing it when they already have a better, less expensive version of AK in Prince. I would do Boozer for Rip and I think they would too. It is alot of money over the course of his extension but how much would the Jazz be willing to pay for a Championship? And I think Rip, as long as he keeps playing the way he has for years, is exactly what the Jazz need to win it all. I may sub Maxiell for Kwame tho. I know he isn't very good but defensively he'd more of an asset and I think Maxiell has a bigger contract.

dont think Detroit would want AK-47's contract and the Jazz without any defenders cant afford to trade AK-47 unless a defensive center comes Utah's way. Boozer to Detroit for Hamilton is more realistic.

How about Jackson, Maggette, and Biedrens for Memo, Boozer and Harpring. Jazz would likely have to throw in future #1.

Jazz lineup:
PG Williams Price Maynor
SG Jackson Korver Price
C Biedrens Kosta Fess
PF Millsap AK-47 Kosta
SF Maggette AK-47 Korver
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Wow I forgot Brewer...He would be back up SG SF. Nice deep team that would contend with Lakers.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

You don't think they want AK's contract? It's better than Rips now.

Except that Rip is worth his money. I like AK but he is nowhere near earning that contract.

AK's adjusted +/- has been consistently top 3 on the Jazz.

To put this into perspective, AK makes more than; KG, Yao, Vince Carter, Arenas, Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Dwight Howard, Joe Johnson, D Will and Chris Paul. No way AK is worth more than those guys.

The only players making more than AK are; Kobe, McGrady, Shaq, Dirk, Jermaine O'neal, Tim Duncan, Paul Peirce, Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, Micheal Redd and Pau Gasol. AK isn't even in the same realm as these players.(with the exception of Jermaine O'neal of course) I'd love AK at half the current price. I like the way he plays and he is always a threat but unless his added weight returns him to his former self, the contract is one of the worst in the NBA.

Productivity is not rated per dollar. The money is gone, you can't put 2 players on the floor in his place. AK during his career has had the biggest boomerang effect in his ratedness. Way under to way over to way under again.

QFT.

Especially in the NBA where almost all of the money is guaranteed, complaining about how a player is performing compared to his contract amounts to crying over spilt milk.

I don't believe you're going to get anywhere near equal or better basketball value for AK in a trade. What you'll get is someone like Maggette who has a worse contract (longer) and contributes much less to his team's success than Andrei.

Anyone who wouldn't do this trade is a fool. Ak is the most overpaid player in basketball, and he was fool's gold. He looked good until he got his contract, then he quit trying, cried, stayed skinny, got hurt, demanded a trade, bailed on us in the playoffs, and who knows what else he's done behind the scenes. This guy is a joke, and to get Rip Hamilton for him would be the steal of the century.

In no way am I saying AK has no value. I already said I like AK and the way he plays, but if you could get Rip for AK I'd doit in a heart beat. The one thing about AK that really bothers me is that AK is only now putting on muscle. He could've done it years ago and didn't. Every year the Jazz have claimed that AK has put on 15 to 20 pounds of muscle and this is the first year that it has actually happened. I hope he does play like he used to! I've always liked him but Rip would be a vast improvement to our team compared to AK.
