Jazz vs. the Clippies

Post#1 » by carrottop12 » Sat Oct 17, 2009 10:50 pm

Tonight at 5:30. No TV that I could see.

Hope Boozer plays well against Griffin. I don't want to see Boozer get lit up by a young athletic big like he does every year.

Boozer must have read my post. 11 points in the first quarter.

Well, that's the way it`s supposed to be. A 2 time All-Star veteran against a rookie; Boozer ought to dominate Griffin.

Despite shooting the ball poorly Maynor continues to play well. 9 points, 7 dimes in 25 minutes.

I really hope he's the back up at the start of the regular season.

His shot's not falling, but he got 11 FTs; he had 2 TO but 2 steals too; that's good.
On another PG note, Williams TOs are still there, 4 in 30 minutes; that's not very good.

Please tell me that Millsap brought all sorts of intangibles to the game that aren't reflected in the stat sheet. Cuz otherwise our potential starting PF got his ass handed to him by Griffin (partly understandable, though I'd hope for better than what he produced even in that case) and Craig Smith?!?

It's a preseason, some scrubs are getting 30/10 performances, it doesn't mean they are great. It's basically smile if they did well, but don't stress it if they didn't do so well. Darius Miles averaged like 3spg and 4bpg in his first preseason, now look at him.

Ya maybe if he can gain 20 pounds and a consistent shot before the start of the season. I love Maynor but he is way too small to play major minutes yet, he has to be one of the smallest players in the NBA right now.

6'3, 180 isn't extremely small for the PG position.

He could definitely add another 15-20 lbs, but as a guy who is only going to be playing 10-15 minutes a night max, he should be able to survive pretty easily.

Box score looked nice for Fes in the Bobcat game. Hard to tell though how his 11 points came.

I agree, his box score does look nice. Doesn't look like Okur played and Millsap started next to Boozer. Boozer had a solid offensive night with 22 points. Millsap had 4 turnovers again, I wish I could see how he's getting so many.

I went to the game as I was in LA over the weekend. There was about 300 people there at the start. In fact it was so quote the only visible clipper fan was as loud as the PA announcer. While Millsap shot FTs he said "Hey Millsap, I have some bad news for you. U-G-L-Y you aint got no alibi you're ugly.
