Unless I am totally misunderstanding this article Boozer is among the best in the league during "clutch" situations. Mehmet and Korver make appearances too. Thoughts?

The tricky thing about this articke is that it defines "clutch time" only the last 5 minutes of games within a 5 point differential. That's fine, but doesn't tell the whole story. A huge amount of games are decided before the last five minutes, and more often than not the clutch situations or the "turning point" of a game is not even in the fourth quarter... it's when a team get a run to take a 15-20 point advantage, or when a team's D mantain rival's scoreless for 5-6 minutes, or when you attacked the zone and got a couple rival's starters in early foul trouble, or when you get into the skin of a rival who's on fire, or when you make a statement via a harsh foul...

Everyone knows that Okur is the money man. It is quite a surprise to see Boozer on this list for me. Amazing that there are 3 Jazz players on this list. We are lucky to have such great options. I bet Deron isn't far off the list as well.

The fact that boozer rates higher than deron pretty much takes the credibility away for me

Of course he rates higher than Deron. Who do you think is getting these guys there open shots in clutch time. If you looked at clutch time assists I'll bet Deron is in the top three if not higher. Also, if you looked at clutch time steals and blocks the Jazz are near the bottom of the list. I don't know how many times Memo has a hit a clutch 3 just to come back down the court and have the Jazz let some scrub get an easy lay-up or leave the Dirk Nowitskis of the league open on the three-point line.

So much for Boozer being clutch tonight. He is so bad when he gets the ball down low anywhere near the rim. How does he get it knocked away EVERY TIME!
