The front line of Iggy/Dalembert and Brand is going to be really tough on our non-existant interior D. I wouldn't be surprised to see Iggy get 30+ he's always been a favorite non-jazz man of mine.

Sixers always have trouble against us. Boozer owned Brand in last years game. I remember Brewer scoring 16 in the fourth quarter comeback win. Hopefully DW's back is OK. Just need the team to show effort and it should at least be close.

Look at Brand - he is sooo confident. 10-5, baby, that's your limit.

Deron Williams is out for tonight and likely the rest of the road trip. He is excused from the team for personal reasons. This was just reported by David Locke.

Wes Matthews will start and AK will come off the bench to be the backup PG.

What about Price? is he still out? Wow wow wow, personal reasons probably means he's about as sick of this **** team as we are.

I knew Sloan was going to bench AK when he was talking about lineup tweaks. I'm still assuming that Maynor is starting for D-Will. If anything, start Matthews over Brewer. Whatever, I'll be at the game.

Price is out. He is out long term IMO. He said he heard a popping noise and has to walk on heels. I would say he has a broken toe. Even if he doesn't I don't see Price playing anytime soon.

Anyone else wonder if this has anything to do with DWill's Twitter comment yesterday?

The timing is a little weird...but they did say personal reason. Hope everything is ok.

It has to be a family emergency of some kind. Deron tweeted yesterday that he was packing his bags for Philly and was asking where to get a cheesesteak. Something must have come up.
Hope all is well with the D-Will clan!

So here's the big Point Forward game. Doing this against Lou Williams is not as daunting as Rondo.

Apparently it's a medical family emergency and he's not going to elaborate till later, so whatever or whomever it is, I hope they're ok.
Maynor and Matthews starting? This is gonna be ugly. I can't imagine how disorganized things are going to be.

Well I guess this adjustment is specifically related to Williams being out, so AK can be the backup PG. That's cool then.

guess it's a family emergency and DW will talk about it later...this is from KSL
SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah Jazz point guard Deron Williams flew back to Salt Lake City Friday in what is being called a family medical situation.
Williams is keeping this situation private, but there is a possibility he will make a statement later Friday.
Rookie Eric Maynor will get his first start at point guard Friday night against Philadelphia, while Wes Mathews will be the starting shooting guard and Andrei Kirilenko will come off the bench as the backup point guard.
The Jazz (3-5), are struggling to find some consistency on the court. After Wednesday's blowout loss in Boston, Jazz guard Deron Wiiliams wrote on his Twitter page, "Something has to change! I don't know what but what we are doing isn't working and we're losing." Williams won't get a chance to change things up Friday against the 76ers.
Right now it is not known when he will return to the team. The Jazz take on Cleveland Saturday night before returning home to take on Toronto November 18.
